He is supposed to resmble a chinese type lotus flower- but I couldn’t resist the red. I know the pics aren’t great– I am still working on taking photos of irridescent paint– the red and white are irridescent and the black has a shimmery flash too– very hard to get on a picture.
awe thank ski- I wanted to paint the lotus on the kirin– I may do so on the next one– I just liked the way he turn out so I didn’t want to add to it.
Very nice rendition. The Oriental feeling comes across well, and I like the little black spots on his thigh scales.
It is beautiful. I like the spots on his legs and I like how there is red and black but it also has white on it. You have brought it together nicely.

I thought the red with the black dots at the top of his legs was a lotus blossom upside down. And a very nice touch. One of my favorite color combinations. He’s lovely.
