Hey guys, I’m selling a few of my curlies and things on ebay (it’s taking me a while to post them though *slow*), so don’t go into shock when you see them on there. XD A couple of the curl colors I decided I wanted on a bigger sculpt, so…they’ll go to a new home (I only like the curls for the fact that they’re small enough that I can have something in every color thanks to them).
The others (they’re royal hatchers, in case you’re wondering) just haven’t grown on me, especially given my limited space for Windstones. I’ve been trying to clean out my collections (there are too many!) these past few days, and these were the Windstones I decided I could give up to make room for something I wanted a lot more. =)
This will probably happen periodically. >_>; I do the same thing to my manga collection…although, admittedly, it’s harder to part with Windstones than manga. XD
I’ll post links here when they go up. I’m trying to post them so they’ll end when people are home from work. = Auctiva is boggling my mind. @_@

July 25, 2008 at 1:06 am #724994July 25, 2008 at 1:10 am #724995It sounds little only in the fact that everything you are selling is little. π
July 25, 2008 at 2:33 am #724996Pshaw, there’s only 3 curlies. =) I upgraded to coiled on the Emerald and Black Gold, and have yet to like the pink dragons, sooo…
I’m keeping one of my three royal hatchers (the empress – I love her in Rainbow), so only two of those are leaving me. e.e I decided I’d rather the hatching emp in a different color ( silver just hasn’t grown on me at all o.O ), and I’ll just have to keep squeaking for a kinglet in gold, since that’s what I want real bad! I think he’d look the cutest in that color.
purpledragonclaw, you throw your manga away?! =0 I meant I sold them off! XD I’m shocked and appalled. Hehe.
Anyhow, here’s the first two :

The Black Gold curl hasn’t shown up yet. e.e
Edit : Still. o_O; I just read the FAQ on Auctiva, and apparently Ebay holds back on newbies auctions’ sometimes to check for fraud or something. They better not dump it on there at like 10 in the morning. 9.9 I set that beginning time for a reason. =

I know, I’m happy. =D And it’s people from the forum, too. XD A girl (I think) from Finland asked me about shipping, as well…international postage is awful. o_O; I’m glad I don’t live in a different country from Windstone. @_@; I don’t think I could have bought half of what I have!
I know what you mean about manga you get tired of fast. >.>; I try to be picky about which ones I buy, but…working at a bookstore makes it hard to resist (especially with a discount). XD Sometimes though, they start dragging on too long, or I get sick of the characters – little quirks that were amusing in the beginning become annoying – or the story ends up being some tiresome old cliche…and I realize I’d never read it again. Once was all it took to get the picture. So I sell it. e.e; I still have way too many though. x_x

I think what I’m finding the most is that some of the manga I buy is translated pretty well. Then there are others that I’m finding are off, as compared to the scanlations online. Makes me wish I could just go out and get the Japanese version for those (the Bleach manga I get in the store is not translated as well as the scanlations I’ve been reading, which is very disappointing). I want to support buying the US distributor of the books, but if the translations are eh, I’m less inclined to spend the money. π

I <3 Bleach! I read the scanlated chapters as they come out each week. XD I'm guessing Viz dumbs things down a little, knowing them. >>; They really underestimate the intelligence of the people that read/watch some of their series. I’m looking forward to their hardback release of it, though. e.e
Anyhow, as for the auctions, I just looked at Auctiva, and it never posted the Black Gold curl. o_O; It looks like it tried five times, but each time it said something like not posted in time? Eh, well. I rescheduled it for 6:30 PST tonight. Here’s hoping it shows. :9

It isn’t easy, I can tell you that. XD Worst part is, I manage the backroom, where everything gets received…so I see it all first. That makes it even worse. =0 I’ve got a little mound of crap I need to buy back there by my computer right now, actually…most of it’s manga, too. The new Tsubasa (don’t you think Del Rey does a good job translating? Not too dumbed down, anyhow…), Emma #7, and the second part of Card Captor Sakura. e.e Ah, and the latest Fruits Basket, although it’s starting to lose it’s appeal. o.o; I probably won’t be keeping that series…
Fortunately, our stores (they’re called Hastings) also buy back used books, so those are even cheaper for me. π It isn’t often that we get any manga I actually WANT used, but…at least my discount on the new is like 40%. We also get one free (stripped) small paperback a week. <3 This feeds my reading addiction quite nicely. >.>
But enough of my yapping, here’s the BG curl finally!

I <3 Hastings! My parents have one in their town and I love going there when I visit them. Such a nice selection of books, music and movies! I took a bunch of books and cds one time to trade in (took all but one or two of each) and then turned around and spent the store credit on something I had been trying to find for ages.
