My Pleasure! I love reading them…that is my faveorite part of your auctions LOL!! NOT that I dont absolutely LOVE your PYOs, but I think that is such a unique Idea and I agree with you on the whole “Everyone has a Story” When I paint them, Like the one I am doing now…this wolf was SUPPOSED to look like the “Zelda” wolf from the new game….BUT he ended up looking Native American LOL…SO I am going with that, and also going to be putting “special” stuff on him to make it look more “REAL” if you will. I cant wait to post him for everyone to see! But…PLEASE dont stop the stories I LOVE them! 😉 OR at least email them to me if you decide to stop putting them on Ebay 😀 <–*cheezy grin*
February 12, 2007 at 8:10 pm #537892ok- how are these pics? I think they are a bit better!

I tried the advice and used a solid white background– and tried to reflect some of the natural sun light.
Changed them in the auction too.
mipaFebruary 12, 2007 at 8:12 pm #537893OoOo!!!! I LIKE those MUCH better, not that the other ones were bad, but you can see the front REALLY good now 😉
February 12, 2007 at 8:23 pm #537894They are better pictures. I just wish I could see the belly scales better. The pictures make the belly look rough almost. Is the belly all gold?
Also, the background is showing a reflection of the kirin.
He is really cute. I like the jade color. What brand of paint do you use?February 12, 2007 at 8:54 pm #537895I use so many different kinds of paint I couldn’t even list them all! Pretty much any paint they sell at micheals craft store! folk art/delta/apple barrel/premiere(I use a lot of this) just to name a few
The belly scales are meant to look rough– but they are smooth to touch– and the gold leaf is verigated (sp?)- it is primarily gold with silver/copper/blue/green/purple colored leaf also mixed in.
I’ll try to get just a belly shot.
Hope that helps!
mipaFebruary 12, 2007 at 8:58 pm #537896Aw, it still is a lovely Ki-Rin. And the pics are better.

I am totally j/k with you 🙂 but now you can see what I mean with the colors!
mipaFebruary 12, 2007 at 9:45 pm #537898Much better! You might add that to the auction!
It’s an interesting concept. Is it actual leaf?February 12, 2007 at 9:46 pm #537899See what? hehe. 😆 Actually, I can see the colors in the other pics.
February 12, 2007 at 10:56 pm #537900yes it is actual leaf- a very fun technique… although a bit time consuming a first until you get the hang of it.
glad you can see it now!
