Because when I came home she had torn into a gift that my sister got me (3 Noah’s Ark sleepers and a blanket), and I just started bawling. Fortunately she just got some slobber on the blanket and focused more of her attention on the cardboard, but it still made me cry. I couldn’t even get an “angry voice” to punish her, but KC tried to yell at her, but he couldn’t stop laughing at the cute face she makes when she knows she is in trouble, so that helped me to feel better because I started laughing too! π
She is such a good dog though…it’s our fault she got into the bag because we forgot to put her in her kennel before we left.

It is one of those things that made me cry then, and I just chuckle about it now. About a month ago I started crying because no one would let me back out of the post office parking spot. The cars just kept on coming, and after three minutes, I put it back in park and cried. I laugh about it now!It is funny how dogs can sense feelings. The other dog who didn’t do anything wrong came up to me and put her head against my chest for a few minutes. She had never done that before, and I told her it meant a lot to me! π It may be silly but I talk to the pups!

March 7, 2008 at 10:18 pm #675791Dogs can do the darnest things. The night I brought Tristen home (he was 9 1/2 months old) my b/f and I left him at my house to go to dinner and when we came back he had confettied (not just torn it) the newspaper and he and the living room looked like a snowstorm hit it. I yelled at him but like you at the same time I had to laugh. I should not have left it on the foot stool

I talk to my puppies all the time! The family dogs are actually called the kids!
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
March 8, 2008 at 2:32 am #675793I have three kids in my family – one with two feet and two with four feet!!! The ones with four feet listen better than the one with two!!! π
March 8, 2008 at 3:30 am #675794Umm . . . I not only talk to the dogs and the cat and the cockatiels, but also to the chickens. I’m fairly certain that the chickens don’t listen. π

And their itty bitty brains too, I’m afraid. π They look at you very intently, but if you listen really carefully you can hear the tiny engines behind their eyes struggling to start: “Rr-rr-rr. Rrr-rr-rr-rr. Rr-rr-rr.”
