Could fuzzies possibly be the destruction of Windstones? Or maybe just cats? Luckily this is in this forum and not the repair one as there was a close call in my house tonight. I got home and wandered into my bedroom where I have my collection of small Windstone pieces up on my dresser which is fairly high and I thought cat proof. Well I recently got in some fuzzies with some new additions to my collection so I placed them nicely in front of my collection on the dresser for display. When I walked into my room and went to admire them, they were in utter disarray with my figures all topsy turvey and moved around and the fuzzies in a pile on end end of the dresser with one on the floor. Luckily no Windstones were on the floor.

Now I should have known to keep the door shut on that room as the other day when I came home I found my leopard fuzzy all wet and mauled in the hallway but when I looked on the dresser, there was no sign of disturbance so I figured it just fell off. I should have known better. Luckily after examining and rearranging my Windstones, there were no signs of damage but those fuzzies need to find a new place to live away from the figures. As if the pile of 10 cat toys on the floor isn’t good enough for my cat. She wants my fuzzies! I think from now on I’m keeping that door closed. I remember reading about another cat who knocked over a figure so I’m glad this wasn’t as bad. Does anyone else have any pet close call stories?

Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

Cats do LOVE fuzzies! There are several fuzzies hiding under large appliances in my house to hide from our hyper kitten (my older cat prefers those plastic rings from milk jugs!).
Luckily my **CATS** have never broken a Windstone, but my Lynx Point likes to spoon with my hubby’s Old Warrior, LOL. Now my four year old twin boys on the other hand….. :tired:

I don’t have any fuzzies yet, but I can totally imagine my cats having a party with them – my cats will play with anything that is easily batted about and fuzzies look very battable. Luckily, one of my cats isn’t a jumper but my yearling kitten is – but so far he has not messed with my shelf where I keep my Windstone and my breakables. I still dream of having an enclosed cabinet though.

Oh the irony! I read this post this morning and just a few hours later I found my brand new white and tinsel fancy fuzzy in my bedroom doorway. He was wet, blind and a bit raggedy. I have two 7 month old kittens and they are always getting on my dresser. Normally I put my fuzzies in a ziploc to protect them, but this particular fuzzy just arrived yesterday with my new foo momma and they were hanging out on the dresser. 🙁

My two have yet to discover my purple fuzzy from his perch on my monitor, but he will have a roomie soon enough when my new grab bag arrives. Could it be that I noticed that it says some cats LOVE(too much) windstones and will chew on them. Could it be that the Fuzzy home-base is in the factory so they smell like the Gypsum? So take fuzzy fuzziness and add some mmm this smells tasty… >.> poor things don’t stand a chance!

I just came across this again and thought I should update it. So a couple weeks ago it finally happened! I always keep the door shut in my bedroom now but my mom took in a couple new rescue cats recently and one kept sneaking into my room and kept jumping up on my dresser where all my precious Windstones are. I came home one day to find the cat racing out from under my bed, a beloved grab bag unicorn missing off the dresser and a couple more all moved around. Luckily there is carpet in the room but I was looking for where the unicorn could have gone. I didn’t see it on the floor anywhere.

Then I spotted a bit of colour coming from a small crack between the dresser and night stand on the floor. I groaned as my heart sank and I carefully reached my hand into the crack that looked too narrow to fit anything. I was expecting the worst. I thought it would be in pieces. Luckily when I pulled the unicorn out it was still one whole piece but had one chipped ear and a couple rub marks sliding down the the crack of a space. Good thing it was a unicorn I was planning on keeping anyway but now it is waiting to be shipped out to be repaired as I don’t think I could do it properly.

So I decided to take action yesterday. It was the cat or the Windstones that had to be moved. I took one look at the cat’s face and went online searching for a curio cabinet. I managed to find a nice curio cabinet on kijiji and went and picked it up today so I finally have a protected display for my little collection! It’s a good thing as I have two more pieces coming in the mail and ran out of space on top of my dresser. Now the cat is happy and I am happy and am sure the Windstones and fuzzies will all be happy as well! I smiled as I cleaned my new cabinet today and tomorrow all my little pieces will move to their safe new home.

So does my dog. A couple of them fell off the shelf and I had to rescue them from Spanky’s mouth. Fortunately very quickly and they were OK.
