Hi Meldoy!
My cat knocked over my peacock fledgling, Spiggot, last night while I was sleeping. She kinda freaked out cause, I just moved and it was her first night there.
The BAD News: She chipped a scale and broke one of his little gold horns clean off. The horn is shattered.
The GOOD news: Thats all that broke and my cat doesn’t eat Winsdstones.
Is there any way it can be repaired?

She fixed my male black griffon’s feet after a shipping accident. You can’t tell anything happened now.

Kyrin also fixed one of my dragons over the holidays…good as new. She was very easy to work with as well. I only wish I could blame someone else, even the cat, for the original damage. LOL (I was really careless, which is dumb when you keep your Windstones outside of any kind of cabinet.)

March 11, 2013 at 10:19 pm #894530thankyou everyone for the post. after a bit of thought, i decided to try my own repair using sculpy.
i carved away the last tiny bit of the old horn that was shatterd and made a new one with original sculpy that i then filed to the closest size. the only issue i had was matching the exact paint shade, so it is a little off, but unless your holding or looking at his horns you dont really notice right away that the horn was replaced.
next time il have someone else do it but at least i tried. trial and error are how you learn.

I forget which one they use but I like to use krylon 18k gold leafing pen cause it’s shinier. If you use it you’d have to do both horns at the very least cause it’s a gold color instead of a coppery gold color. When I use it I tend to do all the gold accents on a statue with it. The tip does tend to be a bit big so I like to prime the pen then pull out the felt tip(or use the back of a small paint brush to prime it after the tip has been removed) then use a small round paint brush to paint on the gold accents. Just make sure you don’t plan on using the paint brush for other things as the paint doesn’t fully come out.
