January 27, 2009 at 4:48 am #630179Those videos remind me of dinner time in my house! lol 😆
Those are very neat, thanks for sharing!!! 😀January 27, 2009 at 6:44 am #630180Wow, those little guys grow up fast. It’s funny, the way the bob their heads back and forth while they’re waiting for food.
January 27, 2009 at 9:49 am #630181They are so cute, it’s pretty neat watching them feed their babies! I can’t believe
how fast they grew. Good luck in selling them!January 28, 2009 at 5:51 am #630182They are too cute. Well, they are after a while. Itty bitty baby birds are soooo ugly at first. Most of them, anyway.
January 30, 2009 at 7:28 pm #630183Hi guys,
I had another loss today. 🙁One of the newly hatched greensingers died….but it’s abdomen was swollen so maybe there was something wrong…plus the fact that the mother kept on pussing him near the side of the nest. I discovered the leg sticking out of the nest in between the wicker, so I rushed over to rescue him only to discover that it had already died and the male was trying to pry him out of the nest. 😥
I have one unhatched greensinger egg and the canary egg left to hatch too.
I hope that canary makes it, he/she will be orange like the parents. I would then pair her if it’s a she, with my bachelor. He is eager to find a mate but I don’t want to purchase another canary.🙂 I also found a male goldbreast. I will take better pictures of him once he starts relaxing and trusting me like the female did. 😉
January 30, 2009 at 7:54 pm #630184Sorry about the loss. 🙁
That male goldbreast is quite pretty!
January 30, 2009 at 8:36 pm #630185Thank you for the beautiful pics and the videos. The goldbreast is a handsome bird. Sorry to hear of your lost baby, but maybe they’ll have more soon.
If the canary hatches out male and does well, could you trade it to a shop or someone for a hen? Since most people looking for a pet want a male.January 31, 2009 at 2:45 pm #630186🙁 Loss my second baby today same problem as the other….WTF!? 😕

March 25, 2009 at 9:30 pm #630189Update on the birds:
The two greensigners did die and the canary eggs never hatched so those baby that were inside died in there. 🙁Later my greensingers had two more eggs and those did hatch and babies are in the nest and doing well.
The Gouldian chicks that where out of the nest are finaly starting to show their colors! So far two will look like dad but the other I can’t tell. I will be able to sex them once they are done the molt.
The canaries did have more eggs and one has hatched yesterday…YAY! The other egg still hasn’t hatched yet, but there is a baby in there so I’m waiting.
I’ll be posting pics later 😀
March 25, 2009 at 10:40 pm #630190Glad to hear you’ve got more little ones coming along! 🙂
March 26, 2009 at 6:49 am #630191Glad the later hatchlings are doing well. Do you know why the first two greensingers died?
