Gah! I like the first one better, but at least I managed to leave some whiteness on this one. Any advice?
December 13, 2006 at 8:16 pm #488978December 13, 2006 at 10:38 pm #516212I love the additions of the white. I would heavily apply some dark brown(nearly black) anquiting in order to accent all the details in the fur and feathers maybe. The pearlyness all over makes it look sorta like ceramic. He is a handsome one though! Very well done!

December 13, 2006 at 11:22 pm #516216the odd colored eyes give her a lot of expression…she looks like she’s saying ‘hey, look at me!!!’
December 14, 2006 at 12:01 am #516217I think for the most part it looks good. I kind of agree with whippet tho. Something needs to be done to the fur and wings….More details.
December 17, 2006 at 2:34 pm #516218Thanks everyone. I will try. The problem I have right now is the sponge for my antique gel is really stiff. It rubs off the paint every time I try to wipe it off. 😕

Oof! Mine get that way too… sounds like it’s time for a new one! I’ve gone though a dozen or more this year.

I want a new one, but the only place I can get them is the crafts store in Heidelberg. I am planning a trip there anyway, to try one more time to get them to carry PYOs, and I will pick one up then. Im gonna take one of each PYO in to show them. Maybe that will get them to carry them.
December 17, 2006 at 6:52 pm #516221Good luck, Ski! But will the Windstone factory even put the PYOs for sale in stores? On the order page it says specifically they’re only available direct.

Hmmm. I didnt notice that. I dont know…Yup…it says not available in stores. Oh well.
December 17, 2006 at 7:29 pm #516223Maybe you can get the Heidelberg to carry the retail pieces. But if my experiences are anything to go on… 🙁

Its an arts and crafts shop, so there is no chance of that. Im still trying to figure out how to get AAFES to carry Windstone.
