oh my gosh!!!! your babies! that is so sadening that soooo many got broke!!
January 9, 2008 at 1:10 am #654418See if they will outright pay you to replace the pieces currently in production- that way you, as a collector, keep the value of those pieces as mint.
The pieces that are retired, see if they will cover the costs of repairs. The person to talk to as everyone has mentioned seems to by Kyrin! She is an individual that has done many wonderful repair jobs.
Were your windstones in their original boxes? If so than your moving company really has some answering to do- those boxes can make it through shipping okay so they should make it through a move! o_o

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 9, 2008 at 2:37 am #654419Most of my windstones do have their original boxes. The ones that broke (outside of my emperor) didn’t. Even so, they were all carefully wrapped and placed in their own compartments in shipping boxes, with plenty of bubble wrap and packing puffs.
I think the movers were playing juggling games, and must have dropped a box or two. That. Or they were bouncing my dragons off the side of the moving truck. *sigh*
I have talked to Kyrin, and we’re basically both waiting to hear back from the moving company.
My poor clutch of babies..:(
January 9, 2008 at 2:53 am #654420🙁 That’s sad, Aetharia.
*sigh* I wonder how many of these movers/postal workers would be more careful with things if they stopped for a second and thought about how much these things mean to the people they belong/are going to. The items themselves, and not the money that can be claimed once they are broken… Some stuff you just can’t replace, you know? I wonder if that ever crosses their minds before they handle something roughly. Especially the moving guys. What if they break some priceless, irreplaceable family heirloom and break somebody’s heart along with it? No matter how much that thing was insured for, someone’s still going to be very hurt by losing it.
January 9, 2008 at 6:24 am #654421Welcome, Aetharia. Sorry your first post had to be on such bad news. 🙁 I hope your Windstones can be restored.
January 10, 2008 at 2:16 am #654422I think we should form a coalition, METW, Movers for the Ethical Treatment of Windstones. That is a horible story, heads would definatly roll if it was me, hopefully you can work it out, and Kyrin can fix them, she is our resident vet. Good Luck!!
January 10, 2008 at 10:13 am #654423Oh no! 😥 Aetharia I’m really sorry to hear that! I agree with Nam/Jennifer. Try to replace the ones in production (like your Gold OW) and if you get to keep the broken ones, there are always people looking for broken Windstones for one reason or another. I think Purpledoggy usually has an eye out for broken pieces.
Please keep us updated! *hugs*
