I can’t remember if it was a movie – it might have been a commercial. All I remember is a kid going down the drain. And there was a shot of the pipes under their house and you saw his lump sliding down all the pipes and out of sight. I was terrified of going down the drain for /years/ after that.

          😀

On another note, who cringed watching District 9?

Some parts were gross-those things were too ugly for me to look at-at first. I cringed because it was such a horrible movie (shaky camera angles just didnt do it for me)

I was a horribly sheltered and soft-eyed kid….Mr.Mom scared me LOL there’s a scene where the washing machine comes to life or something-I was like 4-5…..*looks around* lol and Look Whos Talking messed with my head too-watching that lady go through the pain of giving birth, and thinking I’d HAVE to do that one day…(until mom told me afterwards that I didnt have to if I didnt want to) was the best birth control method my mom could have ever asked for. LOL

I never knew about scary, gory movies till I was like 12. The ring scared me at first-but its such a great story! Now I own a copy on dvd lol 😈

It-I never liked clowns when I was a kid and that total did it in for me. Though that is one of my favorite books. Go figure.
Rosemary’s Baby-when she finds out her hubby is in on it too.

                As for District 9 (spoiler)

I was more grossed out watching him shovel cat food into mouth, and then pulling his teeth out.

I find it quite fascinating all the different things that scare us as kids (and young adults in some cases =P )! Thanks for all the shares 🙂

The Thing is in my top ten favorite movies of all time. I did (and still do!) get creeped out watching it late at night. And for District 9, the teeth pulling, almost amputation, and cat food eating made me wince.

ET… ET scared the ever-living crap out of me when I was a kid! My parents took us to see it when it came out in the theaters. Nothing like a scary alien on the big screen to scare a kid. I kept having to go to the bathroom… just to get out of the movie. XD

Seriously, what kid would think a wrinkly squat alien with an creepy extendable neck was cute? …yet I watched Jaws with no problem… go figure… I guess I saw it like the Discovery Channel or something.

I don’t do scary movies, at all. I have an overactive imagination, and I don’t need to give it any amo. LOL. I can’t handle the hacker-torture type movies. It really makes me ill. Yet, I am perfectly fine (and love) movies like Underworld and Jurassic Park.

No horror movies, please… says the girl who works for the best haunted house in the country… 😈

OMG! I always LOVED Aliens and Predator! They never scared me! (I was a weird kid) I was ALWAYS terrified of Freddy Kruger and Eddie from Iron Maiden though (they bear a striking resembelance to eachother… one a big claw hand and one has lightning shooting out of his eyes and they both look all creepy!!!!) I was creeped out by E.T. too

Worst of all though (now you can all laugh, it’s okay) was the Clown in Stephen King’s It and even WORSE were the clowns in Killer Clowns from OuterSpace 😮

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! That movie scared the CRAP outta me!!!!! They kidnapped people and put them in giant balloons! They were like creepy clown coccoons! *GAH! I feel all creeped out… my skin is crawling thinking about it.

OH! One more I just though of! Arachnophobia! That one still scares me!

*shriek* Oh The Ring! OMG I was (and still am) in my 20s when I saw that and I was scared to DEATH! Once I got the courage up to get the tape out of the player, I hid it way in the back of the cabinet under things! Haha, made my friend stay up chatting with me until like 2am cause I was scared to be alone! lol

eww, you know when i saw that movie in the theater, i thought it was gonna be stupid, but then they showed that girl’s face in the closet and man, that did it for me, the rest of the time there i only watched the bottom right hand corner of the screen because i had my jacket pulled over my head. Then for about 2 months or so after i saw it (well the parts i did see) i turned my tv around to face the wall every night before i went to bed lol.

*cracks up* When I first read this I thought you had botched a quote from my post but realized belatedly that I hadn’t mentioned Jaws. I *loved* Jaws when I was little – and yes, hated ET.

Oh God…*gags a little* I am 36 and I STILL can’t watch that thing! I screamed at my son to “TURN IT OFF TURN IT OFF!!!” when he had it on a couple months ago…The only scene I ever saw in that movie was when the cop was eating cereal or something and a dead one came rolling out of the box…Bleh! :puke:

Killer Clowns was AWESOME!!! I got it from Big Lots for 3 bucks!

Can’t say any Stephen King movies bug me, I love mind bends and the fact alot of his movies aren’t really gory so to speak, just off the wall. ET…LOL Come on! Aliens was worse than that( And I loved those, and the Predator movies)! I still hate the look of those little face suckers though! The adults are cool though!
And what is this cat food movie I need to see? It sounds very interesting…

Although, I must confess, there was one STORY of Stephen’s that did me in for about a year and a half…The Moving Finger…It was a short story about a finger in this guy’s drain that only he could see…And eventually it comes out of his toilet…I couldn’t go to the bathroom for that 18 months without the lights on, and checking the bottom of the toilet bowl first. Pee really fast, and get out became my motto…Now, you’d think that was silly for a 30 yr old person to be that way wouldn’t you? Especially over a short story in a novel. XD
