Well I’ve talked to the two known owners to me of one of the few mother meerkats out there and neither is willing to sell at this time…..I’ve been looking for a long time but I just can’t find anyone willing to sell so here I am again asking, can Mother Meerkats please be made for regular production?
I’ve been wanting one every since I saw Melody post about it on either DA or Elfwood I think it was like way back in 2007 or 2008 I think….meerkats are one of my favorite animals, I’ve been watching them at the zoo/Safari Park for as long as I can remember and I loved watching Meerkat Manor back when it was on tv….there’s also my baby girl kitty who is no longer with us since 2019, one day when it was on, she was immediately hooked, getting up on her hind legs and chattering at the tv and back to me back and forth. And if the babies were on, she’d jump up onto the tv furniture and push her nose up into the screen. Every time, I would turn Meerkat Manor on, she’d be right there the whole time, loving these little animals as much as I did.
….so it’s not just a sculpture to me, it’s a memory of times with my Jinyxy so it would mean so much to me if Mother Meerkat could become a reality, the main one she’s she’s molded from is ready to go there somewhere, we know the molds are made off the gypsum sculpts now, it’s been said many times on FB so the rubber molds falling apart argument is moot also, so it wouldn’t be hard to take a mold off of that one….I know there’s lot of things to be made already but it would mean so much to me if I could have a Mother Meerkat to honor the memory of those wonderful times with Jinyxy and to have my favorite animal in sculpture form finally and with losing my boy kitty, Morgan to kidney failure last year as well, it would really make 2025 be a so much better year than 2024….really she’s a done casting that just needs a mold made, please make it happen finally Melody! I can’t find anyone to sell one of the old ones to me!
…..and anyone who wants to chime in with WE is a small company, please don’t, it doesn’t add anything to this conversation and smallness doesn’t mean something that’s already done can’t get a mold made….and no, I’ve looked, there isn’t any other companies that make meerkats out there that I like so please don’t suggest that either…..and really this is towards only Melody so please really it would only help for others posting if they chime in that they want one too rather than posting with points in this paragraph…..

4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinYes, please make and sell these Melody Pena. My little pups are so unsupervised and they need their Mama, Papa, and Aunties. I wouldn’t just buy one but a few if I am able. Because I need a mob in my house of your amazing meerkats. I would show them off every chance I get. The day I found out there was a Mama meerkat, I was floored with excitement. I hope that one day soon my meerkat pups will be reunited with their Mama and Papa. I hope this does happen. Thank you for the amazing art you do, share with us , and let us be able to have in our homes.

I really hope this new one can become a reality, any awesome looking meerkat would be amazing! and as I asked on FB, can we see a picture of it pretty please?

Melody said to “Squeak” to her on the forum if you are seriously interested in purchasing a Meerkat if we are able to make them. We might not be able to make a Meerkat and it may be a very long time before we even know if we can. Meantime, please add your squeak to this thread if you would want one if we had one! (She said she wouldn’t make the exact same Meerkat that is in the first picture – so there’s no guarantee that it would be a “mother” meerkat)
I definitely would purchase a Mother Meerkat if tgey ever become available! I have two baby meerkats , one with wings and one without that want a mommy!

I must add that Melody said that the exact Meerkat in the picture will not be made again, it would be different any maybe not a “mother” one.
Oh, I’d buy any new meerkat, they are too darn adorable. I hope for any new sculpt to be released in a natural color, although I’d still probably buy a different color theme, but ideally I’d like natural colors.
Or maybe a PYO meerkat? 😊

Just imagine Tara of a new fantasy or other grab bag. But we can’t be having our little one or ones which ever it may be unsupervised. We need parent guidance and we also need more kiddos and parents to have a mob of meerkats. Now that sounds amazing.

I would buy any and would love for the old animal line to come back including but not limited too meerkat, monkey, owls, chick candle holder, reindeer candle holders, bats, lions, cubs, tigers, bears, and all the rest of the amazing line. But we do need supervision for our little meerkat and I would love to own a mob of meerkat babies, Mama, Papa, Aunties, and Uncles. Another squeak would be a fantasy grab bag of meerkat babies, Winged, Mama’s, or Papa’s. Just a thought. I hope I am able to buy a few especially to surprise my kiddos with a new one. Thank you Melody this means alot to alot of us.

well you know of course that I am SQUEAKING for this! SQUEAK! SQUEAK! SQUEAK! …………also can we see the new meerkat? please?! SQUEAK SQUEAK for a picture! ……my baby meerkat SImon needs a mommy/daddy/older sibling/whatever this new meerkat ends up being called!

4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinPutting in my two *squeaks* here. I’d buy a meerkat if they became available again. I grew up around ferrets so I’ve always loved similar animals to them.
I also squeak for the animal like to come back out again. It’s hard starting to collect them years after they were released lol. Not impossible, but definitely hard. I have a fondness for the weird and unique.
