I think black gold suits the male really well. Personally I think it’s the best color on him, very flattering. 😀

Yup! My mom called me at work to let me know I got a package (it’s the only one that would possibly get her today!) and it is waiting for me on my bed. She even got it in before dad came home, so he is unawares 😈 (and can’t pick on me :wink:).

I have the emperor in black gold. I think it’s the best color I’ve seen on it. I had a peacock emperor (well, still do), but when I first saw BG come out I knew I was replacing him (I don’t normally do duplicate poses). I rather like that it’s not super glossy like many of the colors are. It makes him seem more ‘real’ to me. My snake only has a slight sheen… he’d be really odd looking if he were glossy, so that’s how I feel about some of my dragons.

I have to say I love the black gold OW. But of the production bg I would have to say the young.
Black Gold looks really nice on the Scratcher and the Young. I haven’t seen it on the Mother or Male yet, so I can’t tell you there. The Fledgies cute too.
I think black gold is a color that looks good on pretty much everything. Though I particularly like the lap and the male in it. Peacock is like that too, it looks good on all the sculpts.
I agree – black gold looks good on all the dragons but the mom and scratcher are completely awesome!

Black Gold was really lovely when I saw it last weekend. Though I think I like it on the Lap best.
wow! thanks folks! lots of input!!!!! lol, bottom line, they all look great in it, get them all! ha! hmm, i’d love to see the black gold scratcher in person live, i love the piece, so i should like it on him. i ‘ve really gotten to liking the male and young in it. sheesh, i didn’t want the “want” list to get any longer! funny, my curl is SUPER shiny, like he got a gloss dip, its really scrumptious, though i know they are supposed to be semi matte! anybody else get a super juicy glossy one? mm i want to eat it!
Well you guys will have to wait next week until I get mine and I did sign mine “Love, Fuzzy”.
As far as black gold, that is my favorite production color, I think it would look good in just about everything.
I got mine today! Finally. Including the ransom note from customs.
The crouching chick is so cute. He’s up with his brother now – poor little parent-less griffin babies. I gave to my sitting Spectral to take care of for the moment.
And the hazel-eyed Poad. I just want to squeeze that thing all the time! I’m even more tempted to go after the other two eye-colors, but I’ve decided to wait for new fur colorings. I definitely need a clutter of Poads!
As for black gold – that was my favorite production color from the pictures, but now that I see one person I’m doubly convinced of it. And I’ve got help in following up on that.
My little brother Tom looked over my shoulder as I unpacked these pieces, and he really squealed when the curlie came out. “Oooh, that’s so pretty! You should all the dragons in that color!”
Me: “I can. I can get the whole family and the scratcher and the lap in that colors.”
Tom: “Really? Cool. Will you?”
Me: “I’d like, to but all together they cost at least $1000…”
Tom gawped at me, swallowed, and asked, “So which one will you get first?”
I know he’ll be asking when the next black gold is coming in for a while…Oh yeah, and there was no surprise in mine either. I didn’t sign “Love, Fuzzy.” Could I PM someone to find out what the surprise is?
