Amen! I used to cringe at the price of Nessie’s food… Not anymore!!!!

See I never balked at the price of Ruffians food, I went from 30 bucks for a 40lb bag of purina one crap, to 50 bucks a bag for Solid Gold, which lasted about one third longer because she ate less. Now I pay 30 bucks for about 15 lbs, but again they eat less. This bag size will last my 2 dogs a month, more in the summer.

I have noticed that my dogs tend to eat less in the summer. I will have to watch and see if they eat about the same in the winter as well on the new dog food.

I just found this little story about the CEO of Menu Foods. If it’s true, it’s more than a little bit contemptible.

Here’s an actual news article about it: http://www.forbes.com/fdc/welcome_mjx.shtml (You may have to skip an intro commercial to see the article.)

For once, being cheap and buying no-name brand foods has paid off! But I’ll be sure to double-check the labels the next time I give them a can.
