Or even grand unicorns……. π―
I shouldnt read all these threads. I need to have a steady stash of paper bags for all my hyperventilating!
I know Miss Melody is working on a Grand Pegasus but I forget which direction he is facing. It would be nice it he is facing opposite from the Grand Unicorn. Example- the male unicorn and the male pegasus are both displayed from the same direction (even the Grand is too). Id have liked for them to either be “ambi-positonable” or mirror images to each other. Two dominant males in the same direction (in the hoofer family [like some of you focus on dragons] all face the same direction too much).
I know she has worked hard to get the mates to face each other, but you see what Im getting at. Best really would be an ambi-positioning if possible because it could then be up to the loving collector and you could change it up as your heart desires.
And with the all said and mangled, being that it’s 415 am, time for me to shut it and hit the hay. Sorry for the ramble. Anything Melody does is gorgeous and if I were a rich woman again, Id quite literally (no, not kiding even in the slightest despite gravitating towards hoofers and lions/cats) would get each and every single piece she’d ever done… including hunting down the LE LP pieces and making offers no one could refuse (remember, that is assuming Id ever regain my means which is a flat “no”, so I can say/wish/hope that). But really, I would buy everything youve ever made Melody. Windstones ruined me (in a good way) when it came to collecting anything magical, mythical and in some cases, even representational. Ive never seen the quality equalled- or even close.
And no, thats not a kiss tail, or the early morning hour talking. Just sincerity and kudos to your work in a world that is all too willing to criticize and complain and not balance it out with due compliments.
October 16, 2007 at 12:13 pm #626578I wouldn’t want exact mirror images either, but a complimentary sculpt would be really cool. π
November 13, 2007 at 1:55 am #626579Oddly enough, I’ve been thinking about this too!
It would be especially nice to have a “mirror” of the Lap Dragon (gee, who didn’t see that coming?) π
I like the idea of it not being “exactly” the same, too — I adore my dragon bookends because their poses are similar but complementary! They’re clearly part of a pair, but they’re not just replicas, they tell a story with the way their feet and heads are subtly different.
I’d love to see this with the Lap — after all, what does a sorceress get for the spoiled pet who has everything? Company! π I would totally keep the perfectly-coiled tail, though, because for that’s practically the definition of a Lap dragon (okay, along with the smug aura of “of COURSE I’m perfect!”).
Interested in buying or trading for: GB Pebble Sitting Red Fox in dark grey, Lap Dragon Test Paints (Water Sprite, Glacial Pearl, Opulence, Pastel Rainbow, and many others - see my Classifieds ad), Blue Morpho OW, GB Pebble Loaf dragons in blue/aqua/teal, and Griffin Test Paints (Black Rainbow or Frosted Jade).
November 13, 2007 at 2:35 am #626580most of the dragons with complimenting poses are male and female yes? so what about sibling dragons for more mirror like complimenting poses. you know, like how twins dress alike? twin dragon siblings posing alike π

November 13, 2007 at 3:01 am #626582Hehe….I’d collect them too! π
November 13, 2007 at 7:42 am #626583Not me- I wouldnt get them if they were twins. I prefer complimentary positions like the BAT and BIRD wing small flappers, as well as the griff chicks if you work them right.
November 14, 2007 at 10:21 pm #626584FLION!?!? *ears perk up* OOO-OO-OOh can he be white and creamy with different colored jewels (different from the original flion…maybe dark pink like the gothic unicorn) WHITE FLION PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak: :squeak:

I could get into a white flion. Although I’d like to see a flioness. ;P
November 15, 2007 at 2:01 am #626587A feminine dragon in the male dragon pose would be awesome! π π π
November 15, 2007 at 5:42 am #626588π Sorry, I do not vote for a white Flion or Flioness. White is my least favorite color. I like shading and blending and the whites just dont float my boat. But I love the Flion and ones in progress and am really REALLY hoping they are anything BUT white! Sorry…
November 15, 2007 at 4:27 pm #626589I agree about white. I don’t really like white. It seems unpainted most of the time. Although, I do love my White Griffin family. They are simply stunning. And I love my large white Flap Cat, because it’s a Flap Cat mostly. Not because it’s white.
However… and you’re all going to be shocked since I’ve been saying I don’t like white for a long time… when I got the White Mother Dragon in, I fell in love with her. I still sold her, and she’s going to a good home, but she was beautiful. I didn’t realize she would have all the champagne colors on her. When I had the White Male Dragon in earlier this year, I didn’t get a chance to enjoy him at all before he was gone, so it didn’t happen then.
Anyway, I’ve found a new appreciation of the White Dragons, but I still don’t think I’d like other things in White, like Flions.
November 15, 2007 at 6:59 pm #626590Lions do come in darker tones…kinda like Scar from The Lion King…Maybe a similar paint scheme to the wolf griffins, but on a lion. π
