Don’t forget to make sure reverse works after you run him down…Back up and make sure you got him good. Make it worth your time. 👿 😈
December 12, 2008 at 9:24 pm #744832I really understand how frustrated you are df, but remember, anyone (read: ryan, Home Depot management/employees) can read this too. 🙁
December 12, 2008 at 10:40 pm #744833haha! Nobody from Home Depot would ever read this forum. XD

December 12, 2008 at 11:02 pm #744835id be careful . I was good friends with the IT guy at CAT and he told me that every thing that goes on with any computer on the server is documented and saved . Since you had your run in with the supervision i would stay clear of BB’s at work or any websites for that matter . i know a couple places including CAT would fire you for just looking at Email .
December 13, 2008 at 2:06 am #744836In addition, if he ever webcrawled and searched for his name and Home Depot (maybe he’s egotistical? Who knows!) and found this page… well, lets just say that it is becoming more common that people are getting let go based on their complaints about work online! It’s not likely to happen but it CAN. Just a reminder, not just to drag0n but to everyone. 🙂
Everything you put online in public can (and might be) found by the wrong people eventually.

December 13, 2008 at 2:25 am #744838I would be one of those people who was once fired for their blog.
When my LJ was still public and I kvetched and vented about my coworkers. A clinic client found it and showed it to my boss. They took my venting as threats of violence, fired me and even went so far as to humiliate me even more by telling me they could have had the police escort me off the property, but he’d decided not to.
So be very careful, drag0n. It can, and it does happen.
December 13, 2008 at 1:44 pm #744839Being fired would be a release at this point. I’d rather beg for change on a street corned then deal with all the rumors around here. Id just go collect unemployment in the mean time, at least I’d be sane. It’s ridiculous…
It’s only been a few days and already Shaun apparently…
punched a customer, ran over someone’s foot with a forklift, dropped a load on the forklift on top of someone, told off a district manager (WHO WASN’T EVEN IN THE STATE), called Ryan out on something in front of that same District Manager (again, he wasn’t even IN THE STATE), and then finally I heard he punched a baby while being escorted out because he was so angry.
I have to admit, the last one made me laugh, but seriously? I hope they read this someday. Every word in it is true.
When Shaun went on his interview yeaterday even the manager there knew all about Ryan. Plus, 26 people working there are from local Home Depots, 12 from our store alone. We have NOBODY here from Lowes and NOBODY who has ever worked for them in the past either. Just that fact shocked me……well, maybe not really SHOCKED, but it was pretty interesting.
So, I did some fun *myspace* research and in the the New England district, I counted over 90 people from Home Depots working at Lowes, but I couldn’t find one person who was working for Home Depot who used to work at Lowes. This would only be counting people with myspace accounts of course. 😮
Ah yes…. *cough cough* we’re just taking about jelly beans here. 😉

I know these are difficult times for you, but you must try to keep your anger under control. Losing your job won’t solve anything, and we don’t want you to get in trouble for what you post on this forum. I hope Shaun finds a job soon.
December 15, 2008 at 3:46 am #744841No job yet, but I did just come home from the Home Depot Christmas Party. I brought Shaun as my guest…. I guess it was kind of a shock to a few people, but it turned out okay. He even got a present… a stainless steel bbq grill tool set….we don’t exactly own a grill though. LOL! I won the corkscrew set…..though I don’t drink wine at all! haha! I guess they were thinking Shaun would need that one after being fired.
Everyone was very nice and basically treated him like nothing ever happened. Lots of apologies and condolences for the most part. One of our managers got a little too tipsy and started hugging him and crying about how much she was going to miss him. Overall, we made our peace *at least Shaun did a little bit* with Home Depot. I’m still angry with the situation, but hopefully things will start to get back to normal there for me anyway and I’ll feel better. In the mean time, Shaun is off to the unemployment office for now. 😥 With some luck he will find work soon.
I consolidated my credit cards online last night too so no more credit cards, which equals no more Windstones unless I have the cold hard cash in hand! THAT makes me REALLY want to cry! If all goes to plan though I should have all my debt paid down in 5 years or so though.

December 15, 2008 at 6:09 am #744843Well, I’m glad there’s a bit of a truce after all that. And congrats on consolidating the credit cards. I bet that wasn’t easy!
December 15, 2008 at 1:39 pm #744844Sounds GREAT!!
How did you consolidate your credit on line though??
December 15, 2008 at 5:53 pm #744845*at the risk of sounding like an infomercial*
I went to http://www.careonecredit.com after looking them up from the Better Business Bureau website.
They gave me an online quote right over the internet in just a few seconds. Then, if I was interested there was a link for them to call me. Within like 30 seconds my phone rang and a gentleman named Juan helped me over the phone and in like 45 minutes I was on my way to being debt free! It was that easy! *commercial smile*
*end of infomercial*
Seriously though… it was scary, but really REALLY easy. We talked about my budget and everything over the phone and now instead of paying like $700 a month in credit card bills now I am only paying $300. It is going to negatively impact my credit, but they had another option for me to pay $579 a month instead with no negative impact on my credit, but right now I just couldn’t have afforded that plus the whole mortgage. The one I am doing involves laywers and a bunch of scary stuff since they are negotioating pay offs for signifigantly less then what I owe, but the other option just has someone basically just negotiate lowering interest rates and it doesn’t adversely lower your credit score and you can still use your credit cards in the meantime. There are some small fees of course, but it’s all added right into your monthly payment and POOF no more credit cards! So far it sounds too good to be true, but I’m reading the contracts he faxed me right now very carefully.
