Mermaid pen and ink sketch

I should have some test paints soon. I was in the mood for a little 2D…I like to alternate what I’m doing every once in a while. 😀 I don’t know if I could give lessons…I just kinda say, “oooh, this would look good…” then I just do it… 😕

I really like this drawing. The hair is perfect. The scale detail is wonderful. The baby’s hand holding the mother’s hair is so sweet and precious. I love it a lot.

However, I have a problem with the way the mother mermaid’s tail sticks out to the side from her forward-facing torso. Could you make that a little more smoother in the transition? She should be leaning a bit to the right to have her tail up like that. Something there, I think, needs to be fixed a little.

This said, I wish I had one ounce of your talent. 🙂

When I make more…Just don’t have the time with work and taking care of my son and all. And I also started to workout to lose the weight and that takes alot of my time. But I would love to try fantasy at one point. 😉
