I’d like either that or a Scratcher. I need to see the Scratchers first. 😉

That green isn’t supposed to be there. This was a quickie paint test. It was an experiment using ruby, and gold paint over an emerald dragon. I only sprayed from the top, leaving some of the emerald paint showing on the underside. It, and many of the other test painted dragons around the shop are painted slap-dash for my own reference, I never thought anyone would ever look at them!
October 3, 2007 at 12:22 am #622442Aw crud…I really liked the flashes of green! He’d be a pill to actually produce like that en-masse, wouldn’t he?
October 3, 2007 at 12:37 am #622443I am not planning on using the Ember to replace ruby, though I may do a batch as a limited edition color.
I want to experiment with an orange-ish color. Maybe a flame of some kind, or a burnt orange, copper combo. We need a warm color to replace ruby. Also, I still have hopes for a “fire and Ice” dragon. I can picture it, but haven’t been able to get one to come out the way I imagine.
October 3, 2007 at 12:40 am #622444I really thought the copper mauve was awesome and was hoping to see it on future pieces. Fire and Ice….hmmmm….the contrasting color tones on that idea are sure to be tricky, but an eye stunner once it’s pulled off! 😀

YEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Melody, I’ll love you forever for orange/copper dragons! Seriously. Especially production. I can’t think of anything that would make me happier in the world of Windstones.
And the Fire & Ice sounds like an awesome idea. I’ll be happy if that ever comes around too.
October 3, 2007 at 7:13 am #622448I liked the green undertones of the Ember. As for Fire and Ice, there was an OW at the factory painted in red-to-ice-blue tones. I don’t think I got a picture of it, but it looked a bit strange.

Both sound great! But burnt orange/copper would be really awesome. I would love to see what it would look like on a dragon.
October 3, 2007 at 6:01 pm #622450Orange is my favorite color. Green comes in second. 😀
