Yeah, want a Keeper dragon?
Actually, I said PYO Keeper dragon first. Do I get one too? ‘Cause, ya know, I’m just as needy as everyone else 😀

January 14, 2007 at 7:15 am #523929Wow! Melody is like the female version of Santa Claus all the sudden! 😆
I always miss out on the cool things. But I’ll catch one some day! 8)January 14, 2007 at 8:01 am #523930115 is a lot of cool things, WSC. 😀
January 14, 2007 at 5:21 pm #523931Yes, yes it is…And 22 years is a long long time! LOL but some years I just couldn’t afford any. I got presents from my Gramma that included other peices of the collection. But, she started it off, and I am going to finish it if its the last thing I do… 😆 Plus, when I helped to sort out all of her things when she passed away I got to pick some of the things I really liked. She had over 350 sets of salt and pepper shakers. I took all the oriental and German ones. Most of the German ones my father sent back from Germany while he served in Vietnam. So Ski, I have the utmost respect for you! and anyone else who is serving in the Armed Forces. But anyway, I loved my Grandmother very much while she was here, and still do. I wish she could see the collection she started. I bet it would seem like home to her…
FYI in 2003 I bought over 40 peices from Ebay and local shops. I was trying to make up for 5 years I never had a dime to spend on Windstones (since I can look back on a paper-trail and see exactly where EVERY piece came from and what was spent on it, and the date it was bought, how is that for ANAL? 😆 )…Now I try to be able to afford one a month. I will have to save for the Griffins…or wait for production pieces… 8)January 15, 2007 at 4:52 am #523932I think your paper trail is great. I keep thinking I should do it for my collection as it grows, but… But but. But is a lousy excuse. Maybe I still will. I’m just so lazy about keeping lists, and I’m not planning to sell any of my pieces so it doesn’t really matter anyway…
January 15, 2007 at 7:47 am #523933I agree with GB, WSC (too many abbr.!) I started a binder that has a Windstone paper trail of sorts…date bought, price paid, condition…and a photo….well I STARTED it…….
115 though, WOW! my 60 or so are overwhelming me! Does that include any PYO’s or doubles?January 16, 2007 at 2:26 am #523934I don’t have any doubles of the same sculpt in the same color if that is what you mean. I have some of the same sculpt, but they aren’t the same color. I have alot of complete sets too though. I have both male griffs, both frogs, all flapcats, dinos, unicorns in white, pegasus family, kirin, oriental dragons in jade/emerald, the flion (wish he had a family too)plus various candlelamps, sconces, dragons in most production colors (peacock, green, brown, emerald, ruby, white, rainbow, black/gold), etc etc.
Most of my collecting centers around Windstones. I do have some duel-lighted hurricane lamps and oil lamps, swag lamps and table lamps (the bigger and uglier the better. Mostly 60’s and 70’s) and some antique furniture I inheireted from my Grandmother and picked up at flea markets.
A paper trail is something wonderful to have on each peice, since it tells just how old it is for the most part (once it is displayed). But also if you are keeping track of what your hobby costs you. Plus my Gramma also taught me the lost art of pack-ratting every single receipt ever gotten. *shrugs* 😆
(It does include 2 PYO’s. But not the two 19×27 prints I have)January 16, 2007 at 2:55 am #523935I do not have any of the paperwork from, any of my Windstones but I also do not ever intend on selling them at least not until I have to
