I want to call this color “Ivory” but there are weird restrictions about calling anything “ivory” on ebay,
so he got called “Meerschaum”.
This one is antiqued with black, but I think a lighter, browner antique might look nicer.
Thank you! I am glad you like him!July 27, 2011 at 11:48 pm #852172I just love it, but I tend to like “simple” colors. I don’t think it resembles the whites at all. It’s a nice antique (as in old) look.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

Being of a whitish color is their only similarity, but that will be true of any white-themed dragon 🙂 We have had color schemes before that were much more similar to each other.

I like it too, and on first look I thought of the wedding cake dragons. I think because it’s also a matte white. If the accents were silver the resemblance would be even more striking.
Edit: I just looked at the wedding cake male next to the meerschaum fledgling and they not really that similar. The fledgling is more ivory white while I would say the male is more chalky.

Not at all?Nope. The whites have this pearly, goldish look even, whereas this little guy is more like ivory.

Thank you! I am glad you like him!The only thing keeping me from bidding on him is how heavy the black antiquing is. I love love love any light-colored dragons with dark antiquing because then you can really see all the wonderful detail in the dragons. 🙂 But this is just too much of a good thing for me on Meerschaum.
I hope you’ll do more light colored dragons with dark antiquing like this in the future. I love how striking they turn out that way!
