Dragoness, sorry to hear about that. Your co-worker is a really nasty person (yes, we already knew that!). But did you make clear to your boss what the situation was and that you had been trying to do the work of two people?
Even if its after the fact, its better if he knows what really happened so he doesn’t come to the wrong conclusion that the work didn’t get done because you weren’t working hard.
That really sucks. In Canada, you’re legally guaranteed at least two weeks holiday. Is that not the same where you are?

I would never mind having anyone contact me for someone that asks such as DJ has done, but since I dont have my own computer running (where her addy is if I have it; cant remember) and I’ll be moving in a few days, I too am going to be scarce. But it seems as though theres enough ppl here that have her addy that if anyone needs it here, they can get her a message. My own instinct when contacting her is PM, so I cant remember her email off the top of my head and might not be of any help to anyone at this point. In the future, once Im done with all the moving hell, I’ll be able to back anyone up like Nam and Bosky did for me 😀
Remember to take deep breaths and make a conscious effort to take at least 15 minutes a day for yourself DJ. Dont want ya burning out on us! We wuv youuuuuuu! xoxo
Poor dragoness. 🙁 I’m so sorry this happening… your co-worker sounds like a real biznatch! How long has she been out? They probably need to think about hiring someone else to take her place if she keeps ditching work. They can’t expect you to keep doing 2 jobs at once like that forever! I hope it gets better for you soon.

Is it possible to keep a log of the things you do each day? Something you can refer back to show what you’ve accomplished when they say you aren’t doing enough?
You know, I have done a log before and it really helped them…but then it got so it was the same everyday and then I stopped keeping a log because it was just the same thing. My boss already knew that my co-worker was out and that I would have to cover for both of us. I don’t see how he could of missed that seeing that she would have to call in and talk to him and let him know she was sick *coughfakingcough*. Yeah, I have thought about what I said and I could add some more words or said something I forgot to say…but it is past and I am not sure that it will help or change his mind.Jasmine wrote:That really sucks. We do get holiday leave every time we are paid, but it still has to be approved for us to use it. Sick leave is a little different. It is for when you are sick or have a Dr. Appt, but if they don’t want you to use it then you have to go to work.

Thanks PT (hugs)…I miss all of you when I am not around. I am defiantely taking my breaks so that hopefully I can post a little bit. I understand about you being busy as well. Well she was out for 3 days… And I have done this job for 11 years(no it isn’t a typo). And between that 11 years I have had to cover for people who have quit (at least 3 people and months at a time)been sick, etc…. So they should know that I know how to do my job and the reasons behind it. My boss said that when ever they get a complaint then they have to follow up with it. 🙄
Also, just a update. Kujacker, I have been working on your PYO and I just need to finish the details on it. Anyone else who is sending me stuff. Please keep in contact with me even if you just PM me. Thanks.
