awww… I, too, would donate for that raffle. I’m a major doggie person. All but one of my dogs (and cat) were adopted from the pound or found me. Keep me updated. 🙂

My previous foster dog Niki also came from this “breeder”. She weighed 27 when she was removed in Nov, the last 5 weren’t in bad enough shape for AC to take them, they are now and have been removed. The “breeder” has no more dogs. In total there were 4 adults and 6 puppies removed. The first 4 pups weighed about 7lbs at 8 weeks, one was 16 weeks normal weight is 15-20lbs at that age. This guy was a real jerk.
The rescue had a foster who onlt does puppies and the last 2 pups when there. One of them is being adopted this week. Now that Niki is gone I will take the female still at AC. But the last two males need to be pulled. They’ll have to go to boarding but they will be alive and safe. That the fund issue. Our intake is through the roof. 😥

I was thinking I would do a raffle like Laurie has for ddvm and BDW. Those raised quite a bit of money. Boarding is $5 a day. Even if I only raised $500 that would be 50 days for two dogs almost two months worth. But I wanted to make sure if I did that I could enter again if I won something and did that.

I’m in, let me know when. Make sure your state allows raffles tho, it is a form of gambling. 😉
May 27, 2009 at 7:03 pm #765399I guess now we’re waiting on Ms. Melody for a ruling. 🙂

But I really want one of those amethyst ones! And I bet any money the camera flash faded out their colors, and that they are even more stunning in person. Do I take the chance and miss out on another good raffle when I know I’m going to get an amethyst one?
Khat needs to do the Jedi wave again… 😆
Amethyst what??May 29, 2009 at 2:54 pm #765402Amethyst Oriental Dragons, I think is what bayoudragon means. There are pictures of them on the blog. They’re pretty!

Though it would be a ‘not enter another raffle (ever)’ and not ‘in a few months’. Once you win a free raffle, you don’t get to enter any more unless you give the piece away to another forum member who really wants it.
I’m really undecided on this lady. I like the color combo, but not so much the sculpt. If it was a lap or an OW in that color, I’d be so in. She’d look pretty sharp next to my oriental sun, though. Ohhhh, what to choose… I think I’ll add the rule I made up a while ago.. if you win one of these raffles, you are out of the rest of the raffles. BUT if you GIVE your raffle prize away to another forum member who wants it more than you, or sell it and donate the proceeds to charity, you can enter again… So what the heck, if you win and don’t like it, no problem! You will make a friend or do good !
Melody does this mean if if I win and then raffle him away to raise money and donate it to my husky rescue I’ll be able to enter another one at a later date? There are 3 huskies the rescue would take but funds are a problem. These dogs were starved and taken from their breeder. The adult males weight 25 lbs, a normal male husky weighs between 55-70, I even have a 85 ponder of my own. The shelter is working on holding onto them until they can get into rescue but I’m worried about them. 🙁Yes. If you donate the proceeds to a charity you can re-enter a Windstone raffle!
May 29, 2009 at 11:30 pm #765404Here’s the blog entry. I definitely want one of these babies. I like the darker purple color. 🙂
