September 11, 2010 at 10:20 pm #570755My daughter has been wanting a dragon of her own for a couple years now. Figured a PYO would both be cheaper if she broke it, and could be done in ‘her’ colors. She picked out pink eyes and crystal gem and a color scheme (like my green keeper, only pink and blue instead of buff and green), and then we waited… and waited… 😀 Finally thanks to help from Susie the dragon arrived today! I got a base coat on it while she was at a birthday party.

Looks like an awful refugee from a baby shower! 😀 Her birthday’s not for a couple weeks, so I should have time to be able to work on it while she’s at school or visiting.September 11, 2010 at 10:27 pm #570756Reminds me of cotton candy ^^ nom nom nom

September 13, 2010 at 6:44 pm #570761So cute, I can’t wait to see it finished!
September 13, 2010 at 7:49 pm #570762Since her birthday’s next week, gotta hurry to get it done! Out of work at 11 this morning, so I holed myself up with the dragon until she was due home from school. Hopefully I can get it finished tomorrow!

Tempted to see if I can find that magic sparkle spraypaint… she isn’t one for subtle.
It’s making me want to try my striped mandarin idea even more though! :shout:September 13, 2010 at 8:19 pm #570763oooh, if you can’t find any magic sparkle paint, you could always try some interference paint of some color. 🙂 If you have a store near you with some pearl-ex, you could try a color that looks need for the wings or a few accent areas, something to just brush on for a coat or two (just spray in between coats… with a clean brush, you can always brush off or blow any excess off so it isn’t too heavy handed). 🙂
September 13, 2010 at 10:54 pm #570764oooh, she’s coming along nicely! Very pretty!
September 14, 2010 at 7:49 pm #570765Got her done! She was a learning experience, some things worked, some things I need to practice more… 😀 The consensus is my daughter will like her, and the 2 fuzzies Susie sent to accompany her! (Mariah will be delighted by those; thank you Susie! 😀 ) There is blue and red interference on the stripes and red areas, don’t know if it will photograph.
