Just bumping this as I’ve tried to sell her and very little interest, I know this isn’t the right place (there’s a post in Flea Market) but maybe people who like PYOs would look here. I’d like to make my purchase and shipping price off her; so far, I’ll get the purchase.
She really is lovely Pip, and her wings are fantastic. You’ll sell her! Sorry your fiance doesn’t like her enough to keep her; hope you do tackle your next PYO soon. 🙂
i’m not very productive. 🙄 😀 I just finished my 3rd PYO and 1st griffin. (the 2nd, a dragon, never got pics but was my favorite to paint and when done oh well) I’d gotten this guy for my husband to paint a year ago last Christmas, and he never did. :shrug: 🙄 So I stole him, and just finished him. He was harder than I remember the wolf being, and MUCH harder than the dragon was for me! I had the idea of a snow leopard and light phase gyrfalcon being combined; this griffin happened to have yellow eyes, which I didn’t think would work with that scheme. I decided to change the basic grey/black tones of the chosen animals to buff/brown, and ended up with this. I’m no artist, but so far the few people who have seen him have liked him.
He was painted with Golden paints, and has orange and red interference. Sealer is satin finish. Pics taken outside in the sunset light; last one is inside flash.
I suck at antiquing, at least on griffins! :negative:
He is for sale; I’ll probably go to eBay for more visibility.
😀 very nice,and since you bought it for him and he never painted it its not really stealing is it,and i bet if hes anything like most men he will never even notice it missing 😆
Wow, that is a beautiful gryphon! I loooooooove the copper accents on his feathers and around his spots! 🙂

I finally got started on another PYO last week, this time a keeper. I planned on making it more blue, but it had a mind of its own and chose green. He is still very unfinished here. Ah well I hope to work on it some more later this week, we’ll see how the colors end up. I would like to sell him when he’s done, but since they’re so expensive to get here I’m not sure anyone will want him.

I got some more work done on him the past few days, here he is as of yesterday.
I did some antiquing today and hoped to get some interference on and have him done and ready to find his new home, but no luck. I had the eyes out and sitting in my work tray, but while I was at work it got knocked to the floor and one of the eyes is AWOL. So until I can find it or buy a replacement one somewhere, I guess he isn’t going anywhere. ANyone have a spare light yellow eye? 😀 🙄
