Agreed! I would LOVE to have a Blackfire Ki-Rin. His color was wonderful.
Purpledragonclaw, I don’t think Kyrin was offended… but just expressing how much she liked the coloration (correct me if I’m wrong, Kyrin). I wouldn’t want Melody to be encouraged to not make the blackfires either!
Thanks, Kujacker. I hope she wasn’t offended. I don’t often state my opinion when I don’t like a color scheme, but this time I made an exception. I wouldn’t want Melody not to make something just because one collector didn’t like it. I sure as heck wouldn’t like it if I wanted something and a collector said no and it ended up not being made. I never wanted Melody to not make the Blackfire Kirins, I was just stating I didn’t like them. Kyrin, please don’t think I didn’t want her to make them. I was just stating my opinion.
Don’t feel bad about voicing a color dislike purpledragonclaw. Every collector is different and some colors will stir the hearts while others may stir the stomach. For instance, I don’t care for the rainbow coloration….but I really love the peacock. Now I know there’s bound to be a collector out there that feels the opposite way. It happens.

Exactly! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve voiced how much I dislike the curled dragons. Now THERES one that I think almost everyone would think differently about :lol:!
Thanks everyone! And Kujacker, I agree with you on the curled dragons too. So you’re not alone. That’s why dreaming about owning a Rainbow Curl was so weird!
I thought the Blackfire color was great on the Kirin, and would definitely buy a set. It’s one of the first things I put on my squeak list. =)
There are some sculpts and colors I dislike, but…I keep my comments to myself, for the most part. XD I think I had “If you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say nothin’ at all” beaten into me.
I do enjoy the kirins no matter what color they are. I like the Blackfire color. I have issues with the way I have painted the koi colored ones, because they never turn out looking as nice as I imagine them. I think they could be improved.

Ah! so you were yikking my Koi family. I can live with that. MMnnnnn there probably is room for improvement in the Koi-Rins but the only way to get there is by more test paints
I’m sure some of these loyal forum members will take them of your hands so you don’t have to look at them as you perfect it.
