OK I know that this might be a wierd topic for some but with my mom just passing away last week I have been thinking what would happen to all my stuff if I ended up leaving.
How would people deal with their Windstoes?? I do not have any family members that would even care about them but I would want to know they would have a good home. I know it may sound CRAZY but I was thinking of leaving them to Melody she could keep all the ones she would want like my brown Emperor and sell off all the ones she would not want and pay her rent.
what would you do with yours??

I don’t know anyone in “real life” who appreciates Windstones, so I’d probably leave them to someone on the forum. 🙂

I have several family members who have taken interest in my Windstones. So, if anything, I might have to put Post-It Notes on the underside of each piece with the name of the person who will inherit it 😆

My family would probably Ebay them. 😕 I actually thought about putting it in my will that they should be Ebayed and my son gets the money. That way you guys get them, but my son is a little more taken care of.

When I got my young emerald dragon, I cut off the tag (I always do that, they get on my nerves) and I put it in the box. I told my husband that if anything were to happen to me and that he had to sell my Windstones, at least this one came with the tag and box 😀

I’m thinking he would keep some, but propably ebay the rest. My wish is that he would get on this forum and offer them up to you guys (and also explain what happened to me).

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

It’s not that odd to think about DM. My husband and I were looking into making wills and realized we had to figure our what to do with our “estate” as well. Well if you take out all the books, CDs and DVDs our estate is pretty much the Windstones and some pictures. We got so depressed thinking about that that we never did decide what would be done with everything.

Wow, that’s a good question.I keep thinking I should make a will, just for practice. It’s easy to decide who gets the guns and tech, but I never thought about the Windstones. Mom likes some of them; my littlest brother likes the rest… I dunno! You got me thinking.

I’m actually working on a “value” list, a big giant(because it includes all my horses as well) list to leave to my daughter. If hubby and I die, Chloe is going to Chad/Natalia’s house, and all of our stuff that can be afforded to store will be. They can sell off the house, cars, ect. And keep that money to raise Chloe, and store the other stuff. Or, they can keep the house for her(it’s dirt cheap to keep) and sell off a couple horses a year to pay taxes and whatnots on, rent it out, whatever, and give her that when she’s 18. Any horse/dragon that can be store is to be stored. When Chloe turns 18, with Chad’s help (because that’s a lot of dough to run into when you’re 18) she can keep them, or sell them off.

There’s also a note in there that the customs and resins need to be sold within a year of our passing, because the market won’t be there for those pieces in 17 years.

It is a good idea not only to *think*, but to do. Righ tnow, until we actually write this thing, Chloe and stuff go to mom 😯 . Lets just say mom is kinda like…. 👿

                It’s a wonder I turned out 🙄

Thanks. It just kinda occured to us one day that my mom stood to inherit our most prized possesion, Chloe, a fully furnished house, brand new truck, and $20,000ish worth of horses/dragons/misc other crap I collect. 😯

And, knowing how I was raised, she’d probably just sell off all the stuff, and feed Chloe bread and water. Not cool.

Lovely. 🙄 Well, good thing you’re thinking ahead.

It’s your parent’s/siblings or his, and they get to fight it out if nothings said or done.

We figure my mom would get everything in the name of and interests of the baby, but traditonally that’s what God-Parents are supposed to be for, and why you don’t just give the honour to anyone, but to someone you think really would be the best alternate-parents for your child(ren). But I inhereit everything if either my Mom, Her ex-husband(My father)(easiest way to put it), or his brother(my uncle) die.

Long and short Baby get’s everything!!
I die Mom get’s my portion of Children and Pretties, to look after for Baby.
We figure his family maybe a bit upset by that but most of our stuff is literally mine, he had to move from where he used to live with little more than the shirt on his back, and his freinds and uncle who was supposed to be selling/buying and then sending him the money never did!! But he also still has a teen sister, and a brother with 4 children under the age of 5, so really his parents and siblings aren’t really the best choice.

Also you should be thinking about what you want done with your body, especially since now there’s alot of places trying to make donation of your body automatic otherwise. And they gloss over the fact that it may not be to other people who need your parts to live.

I have actually thought about this and I have a will, but I didn’t put any Windstones in it. If my current bf and I are still together than he will probably get a lot of them. But I want at least 1 dragon to go to everyone I know. That way they can remember me. I haven’t thought about anything else that I collect.

well, my family wouldnt knwo what to do with them. they would prbably keep them in the closet for fear of getting rid of them for too cheap a price. sigh.
