Melody. I was unpacking and rearranging my Collection to make room for some of the new pieces I’ve won/bought over the past few months and I noticed something odd. I won a Sitting Spectral in the LP Red Fire with all the rainbow speckles. I set it up on my shelf and it sparkled like a crimson jewel in the sunlight. My eyes must have looked like giant saucers as I gazed in awe of all it’s glory! hahaha! …wait, I got sidetracked, hehe…
Anyway, I also won a LP fledgling in Red Fire too, but it doesn’t have any of the rainbow specks like the Spectral does. It’s basically the same as one you would by in a store, just signed. Were the Fledglings, or any of the other Limited Red Fire pieces just special because they were signed, or did they all have the sparkle auto paint? I just wondered if my Fledgie somehow was missed or if they were all like that.
Also, if anybody else won a LP Red Fire did they notice that too??

She is airbrushed with flaming bright red and fiery gold metallic paint. The red color of her body is slightly transparent and sparkles with flecks of metallic gold. This special dragon is painted with magic invisible paint in addition to the golden flecks that all of our Red Fire dragons will have. This is a special auto paint that only is visible under a point source of light or in sunlight! It appears as gorgeous specks of rainbow colored glitter. She has orange glass eyes and a gold colored Swarovski jewel set in her forehead.

The thing is, my red fire OW is regular production, and when the sunlight hits him, he’s got sparklies too. My friend actually asked me this weekend if he had been painted with car paint ❓

All red fire have some sparklies. The eBay ones have (or… should have) EXTRA sparklies that are definitely rainbow colored- it’s crazy looking. There is a difference in the level of ‘glitter’ look to it.

My art: featherdust.comYou can REALLY tell with the Spectral. It even almost has a rougher feel to it like auto paint would. The Fledge looks exactly like the production one with just slight redish gold flecks, but good to see I’m not alone. Thanks Phoenix for confirming.
Maybe I should post some pictures of the difference now that it’s sunny out…

It does make them a bit rough sometimes, and kinda ‘dusty’ in photos (the effect is so pretty in person though!). The fledge looks like he doesn’t have it. Hopefully Melody can help you out on this one. 🙁
