I thought the whole reason they were done in high contrast to begin with was because of the way the auctions had been worded with the original low contrast prototype silvers that were auctioned off? That no more just like those would be made? The store batch of silver OWs had to be made different enough to not cause issues?
Don’t get me wrong, the low contrast silver is my holy grail. I snapped up a high contrast because I was under the impression that was as close as we were going to get.
December 5, 2011 at 2:31 am #864433I, personally, would simply like to get a silver OW. Though I would prefer a medium to high contrast, low contrast would be beautiful, too.
Just…please wait until January when I can actually buy one. I’m desperate, but broke due to moving.December 5, 2011 at 2:46 am #864435I thought the whole reason they were done in high contrast to begin with was because of the way the auctions had been worded with the original low contrast prototype silvers that were auctioned off? I don’t know anything about the original auctions. But give ’em metallic eyes or something. 🙂 Paint a small design by their eyes. I”m reaching here. I just don’t care for the high contrast.

Well, if I remember correctly, the ebay OW were the Prototype OW version (with more battle scars). So even if new ones were painted exactly the same, they would still be different. Which I thought was the point of that sentence.
I may be completely off though…
