Lousy day….

I was let go from my job today…due to lack of work….right before christmas…no notice or severence pay….I think I’ll be having a hard time for a while so please don’t be surprised if I’m gone for a while. 🙁

I’m sorry to hear that Keplilly. Don’t they have laws about giving you a notice or severence pay where you are? I know here they do. Get informed about that. Hope you find something soon.

I’ll be checking but I know they have the right to let someone go with no notice in GA. Just like you can quit with no notice as well.

Oh that really sucks! I got let go 2 days before Thanksgiving in 2005, it really sucked too. They used my pregnancy to oust me, long story about how they got out of a lawsuit, used FMLA to block that.

Go get your unemployment insurance filled out right away, so there is no delay on that, and then I suggest a temp agency until you can find permanent work.
