😮 I lost a complete folder of pictures I took from last year and the year before….I don’t know where it went.
I search the whole computer! NOTING!
I even remember what it was called and search still noting.
It’s just like someone went in my computer and had fun deleting some stuff…like my pictures!
I’m freaking out since they were never saved to a disk or CD. FUCK! :shout:Snap, I need an emoticon that is pulling his hair out!
February 11, 2009 at 1:08 am #751690we keep a copy of all of our pictures on a detachable hard drive , just in case we have a problem like the one that occurred a few months back with a virus that couldn’t be wiped. It cost i believe 75 bucks for 2 gigs 5 years ago so im sure they are cheaper now
February 11, 2009 at 2:51 am #751691Ouch, I feel for you. I remember my mother crying when her computer crashed and she though she’d lost every picture from before 2007 (which is thousands upon thousands of pictures). In reality I think she only lost 4 months worth, but that was still around 1400 pictures…. (yeah, I know, she has way too much time on her hands! lol).
February 11, 2009 at 6:20 am #751692Oh no! Would that include stuff you posted here? (Those aren’t lost, obviously, because you have them on your photo host site, but still…)

Guess what I will be doing this weekend…I won’t be able to purchase an external hard drive right at the moment but I will save everything on DVDs or CDs…just hope I have enough left for all of it.

You don’t want to know how many pictures were in that folder….trust me! I still cringe when I think about how many were lost. 😥

Only a couple of them were posted here and yes I could get those from the site but they wouldn’t have as many pixel to them so lesser quality. 🙁
February 11, 2009 at 1:41 pm #751694Oh no!
That reminds me I need to get some CDs so I can back up the pictures on my computer since the last time I pulled them off.
February 12, 2009 at 12:06 am #751695I’m no computer wiz but I’ve heard of people rolling their computer back (date wise) to a point where they think everything is okay and finding what they’re looking for. You can probably get some advice on that from someone here.

That would be “system restore” and it wouldn’t work for the pictures….unfortunatly.

February 14, 2009 at 3:17 am #751700Oh, BDW….gooogle “Kim Komando” and go to her downloads page. She has a program in there for finding forgotten or lost pictures. Kim Komando is super trustworthy, so try to download the program….let me see if I can’t find it…
