I lost my female strawberry finch today 😥
I had her in a seperate cage since most of her feathers were gone so she needed a warm place to stay until her feathers grew back.
I came home from work only to find her at the bottom of the cage, dead. And she had just died since she was still warm and soft.
Now I’m afraid my male will die too.
He was always close to her.
I need to find a mate for him soon!😥

I just found out that her heart gave out. 😥
She was breathing to fast since last week and it was due to her heart and the fact that she was trying to keep warm. I had her since 2003 and small finches are not knowned to live for very long. Apparently I was lucky to have her for so long.😥 Ohh i’m sorry to hear that, its always sad when you loose a pet and she soooooooooo cutem hopefully you’ll be able to find a new mate for ypur male soon.. 🙂

She didn’t look cute in the end. She has been bald for the past 3 years but I still loved her but at the end she was also missing her back and front feathers. 🙁

Aw Natalie, I’m so sorry hon. I found my ferret like that, dead at the bottom of the levels. His cause of death was apparently a urinary tract blockage, wish they could talk and tell us about these things! (ferret loss was a couple months ago so I’m okay about it now.)
