Aw, thank you. You’ll be sure to know, whatever I end up doing.
April 19, 2007 at 9:29 pm #562317for some people, it is worth taking a yaer or two to make money and mature before going to college. however, if you think you will lose your educational momentum, go to college now.
April 19, 2007 at 11:29 pm #562318Very well put gryphon. That’s exactly what I wanted to tell GB earlier. π
April 20, 2007 at 3:43 am #562319I’m not worried about losing educational momentum, since school has never been my thing. π If I’m in it, I’ll do it, but the idea of college is more to meet people and work on HR since I tend to be such a loner here. As for learning, if I want to know something there’s no end of places to look it up – which I do a lot.
Anyway, I’ll let you know.April 20, 2007 at 4:31 pm #562320siberakh1 wrote:I’m with star and emerald. I had one dragon at college with me (white male) because I bought him when I was in college. I also was lucky enough to have a single every year thanks to have medical stuff on record (w00t!), except freshman year because I didn’t know I could get one (but that was before I had any windstones). I did add another piece or two (I know I added a male kirin – surprise auction for only $20 because it was mismarked!- and a peacock coiled dragon because a friend got him for me for christmas one year), but that wasn’t until I lived off campus and had an apartment shared with one other person. We didn’t have parties and my room was pretty much safe from intrusion. Dorms are not safe places for valuables that can be seen or easily found and sometimes, it really just comes down to opportunity for someone to try something that they normally wouldn’t consider if the temptation is there. Most things I either acquired or I kept home. I didn’t really ever come home after I left for college freshman year, except for quick trips and all of christmas break (and only because I had to). I worked summers at the college and didn’t leave for breaks. College was home for me 8)
I wouldn’t bring any limited production pieces or anything really hard to replace (my pieces weren’t hard to find at the time :P). Lots of people at college really aren’t careful with other people’s things. It gets worse when they add certain libations to their systems!
Ohh, if you bring some pyos, you might get some people interested and some commissions π
All your advice is spot on! I would highly recommend (like everyone else) to just have one or two that can be replaced, or that are not as important to you.
April 20, 2007 at 5:30 pm #562321I suppose the ALSKs won’t be out before July… I’ll have to find some place else to send mine, I guess. π
April 20, 2007 at 8:49 pm #562322You can send it to me. I’ll keep it for you 8)
April 20, 2007 at 8:51 pm #562323π π π It would be a good excuse to go to Florida to pick it up later on…
April 20, 2007 at 8:53 pm #562324Works for me π π π
