Hmm… I guess I can appreciate it from an artistic point of view but in personal opinion that is pretty tacky.

It is not technically animal cruelty in that the bird wasn’t harmed, yet no less it is still degrading to the animal.

Don’t people have better things to do?

I just hope the dye does not hurt the bird.

I agree with Kujacker. If the stuff disappears after a while and doesn’t hurt the pigeon, it’s a cute experiment.

I think they should have painted it to look like a bird of prey.

I did a double take! I thought it was photoshop at first but then I read the description!

Wow, I like the shot of the bird with the wings spread out. But I also would have to agree, I hope the dye doesn’t hurt it. I know it is just food dye, but still.

I hope it doesn’t hurt the bird, but I think the results are very cool.

My kids tried the food dye thing on my cat Domino. He had a bright green spot on his very white head for a bit. Amazing how that food dye fell right out of the closet… 🙄 It didn’t hurt him, but it wasn’t a very dignified look. Can you say, “you’re grounded”?

Food dye won’t hurt the bird. I know for dogs I prefered using natural dyes. (tomato etc…)

There’s a book out there called, “Why Paint Cats” with the same thing on cats, some of the designs are very intricate and interesting too. I know someone here’s siggie has a pic from that book….now I’ve gotta cruise around here and find out who ! 😀

Alas, the painted cats are not really painted. It was clever, though!
