Please read the entire post before you tune in!!
Painting a Windstone live.
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nambroth%27s-nonsense
Password: bees- – This is live, meaning I may take breaks to do other things.
– at 12p EST my husband comes home for lunch so I’ll be on break.
– Video quality isn’t awesome.
– Since I’ll be actually painting, with paint that dries, I might not be able to answer chats right away. Please be patient!
– type /nick NEWNAMEHERE to change your name in the chat.
– You can refresh the video by using the little spinny arrow icon in the lower left corner of the video screen.
– I might have music streaming. I’ve got the radio on (Pandora) so mind young ears, there is a small, small chance for profanity! You can mute it at any time, no worries.
– When I am done for the day, it will go ‘off air’– please don’t complain, I need to eat and sleep too! XDFAQ type stuff!
- – I’m using Golden Fluid acrylic paint and if you see me using a powder, it is dry mica pigment.
– I paint these officially for Windstone; I don’t own them at all. I can’t sell it to you (I get asked this a lot), you must buy it from Windstone if you are interested!
– I use the materials that I use because they are high quality and archival and are the same that Windstone uses.
– The eyes are missing, and so are the horns. They will be added when it’s done being painted.
– I don’t know exactly how long these take me beforehand. Several days of work. I started this one yesterday.
– I use mostly synthetic hair brushes as they take a better beating with the acrylics and gypsum.
– Only a base coat is airbrushed on– to keep the thirsty gypsum from ‘sucking’ up all my paint from my brushes. The rest is done with normal paintbrushes.[/][/]

February 19, 2009 at 5:17 pm #752275Very cool! I can’t wait to see how the dragon looks when she’s done. It’s also interesting to see how one of Jen’s lovely creations come about. I have to admit the dragon looks a little freaky without her eyes and horns 😆 .
February 19, 2009 at 8:22 pm #752276Aww! I’m at work until 9 tonight! Bah!
