Looks like the seller pulled the auction due to apparent lack of high dollar bidding maybe she doesn’t realize the last minute bids really run up high sometimes
quote from ebay
“The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.”
January 13, 2008 at 9:46 pm #646317I noticed that too…I emailed the seller and they’re response to me was that they have recieved an offer on the dragon…which is around $400…and that is why they pulled the auction.
Does anyone remember what these guys originally went for?

Thanks I know…It all seems so fishy… π I really like the dragon but I guess the reason why I have not replied is that I am WORRIED that he might never get here or that something else might go wrong…at least with ebay there is a bit of protection… π

Someone mentioned they went for $400-$600 (maybe higher, my memory is fuzzy)It irritated me to see the auction cancled last night. I know the seller didn’t receive any sort of offer for the dragon, that’s just an excuse to end the auction and NOT report them to ebay. Of course there’s no proof unless the dragon show up again on ebay in a month. I’m thinking that’s what will happen. Either that or the seller will just hang on to the dragon and not sell her at all.

Yeah, I figured you were thinking along those lines, too….I think they could be saying they have a buyer when they don’t. If they want $400 or whatever, they should just put it up on eBay Buy It Now for that amount.

If you really want it and are willing to pay that, request that she set up a BIN auction for you for that price. Go through eBay… don’t do the transaction ‘in private’. π

January 14, 2008 at 7:27 am #646329It sounds dodgy to me too! π Especially if they claim they had a $400 offer and then ask you if you want to offer more because this is exactly the reason Ebay discourages people to do private deals because where is your proof that ANYONE offered ANYTHING – that’s what the bid system is set up to proove and/or hold people to!

I know that the production ones went for $150 in stores. I’m sure the data base would have the prices for the auctioned ones. It does. High price $475; low $202; average $342.97
