It seems a big extreme, but the Rock Dragons are cement and not gypsum, so they are much much heavier. $201 is way too much even though.
That’s wrong. It would cost $69 or so to ship to me.
I’d love it, but I have a regular Little Rock Dragon.January 5, 2008 at 8:13 pm #646287I R confused! Is this the same dragon that the user is selling again? Or a different one?

Same user, same dragon, but in their feedback it’s unclear whether the first dragon actually went out, because “good communication” could mean anything really!
and $219 to ship to Canada, still insane!! @_@
January 5, 2008 at 9:10 pm #646288I dunno… she left “a pleasure to do buisness with” for the buyer. Maybe she had two? Maybe the shipping was too much and they agreed not to go thru with it? I wanna ask…
January 5, 2008 at 9:13 pm #646289I’m curious as well. You can see from the seller’s feedback that she has bought several pieces from Windstone, but it’s been so long now that you can’t tell what the pieces are any more, so it’s possible she had more than one and decided to use the same pictures for both.
January 5, 2008 at 9:53 pm #646290I can’t see the auction from work but the shipping sounds OUTRAGEOUS. I hope you get the answers you are looking for. Sounds sort of fishy to me

Does anyone know if it is via USPS or another shipping company ❓
I just asked again what the shipping will be.

I notice that in the auction from the first one she sold, it has the same sketch as this one and Melody does not do two identical sketches so that makes me beleive that it is the same one. To be sure I would question the buyer if I were you. Than again the seller might have used the same pictures but forgot to take a new pic for the sketch. Here is a link to the first one: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230202823674January 6, 2008 at 4:13 am #646293Out of curiosity, I asked the seller these questions we are wondering about. If she responds, I’ll let you guys know what she said.
January 6, 2008 at 4:18 am #646294Wow, she responded immediately! This is what she had to say:
“SHE WAS A COLLECTOR AS I AND HAS THIS PIECE.
SHE AND I AGREED IT WAS WORTH MORE THAN SOLD AND WE PARTED AS FELLOW COLLECTORS WHO APPRECIATED THE TRUE VALUE OF THIS PIECE. THERE WAS ONLY A FEW OF THESE ON EBAY AND THEY SOLD IN RANGES FROM 352 TO 1076. I HAVE RELISTED IT TO SEE IF I CAN GET A GOOD RETURN ON THE INVESTMENT.”January 6, 2008 at 4:23 am #646295What? 😯 😕

Sounds really odd.
Anyway, I asked how much it weighed and why shipping was so expensive and I was quoted that it was 35 pounds and would be between $35-$55 for shipping (to the US I’m assuming, I didn’t ask how much to Canada) which sounds more more reasonable than +$200 bucks!
But if she thinks it’s worth so much, why start the auction so low? I think she’s risking having another auction end that might be even LESS than what she would have got the last time!
January 6, 2008 at 4:36 am #646297Oh, I know caps are meant as yelling, but I didnt get that vibe from her. Went right over my head.
I do find it hard to believe that after both buyer AND seller left each other positive FB, that the buyer actually had the same LP dragon. Not so sure about that.
And yes, I do find it a foolish thing for her not to have put a reserve price on it, or start it out higher. She’s not going to get what she is hoping for- especially since she doesnt even have Windstone or Pena in her item title for keywords. Granted, it’s gotten enough attention here, so…
Either way, I dont think she will see anything near $352, let alone over $1000. She is obviously new to ebay with only 7 FBs under her belt and I think someone (hopefully one of you guys!) will make a great buy on this piece. I think it’s a good shot! Good luck to anyone going for it 😀

I was just contrasting that response to the one I got which didn’t feature all caps. I know that some people do write in all caps just out of habit but it seems odd that your response would be all caps when the rest of her responses and writings (as in on the listing) are not that way.

Well I guess that was what the buyer meant by “good communication” though I think the seller is lucky they found someone willing to forgo getting the dragon at that price. It reminds me of a seller I dealt with once who seemed upset with me that I’d won a dragon from her at a winning bid that was lower (supposedly) than what she had originally paid for the dragon. I mean, if you want it to be a certain amount at least, set the start bid higher or have a reserve! *chuckle*

That may be the case, that she’s knew and isn’t aware of things like reserves or the like.
Yeah I thought about me bringing it up but I usually don’t win anyway so I figured why not let other people puzzle over it LOL Goodluck everyone! ^_^
January 6, 2008 at 5:34 am #646299I want to know where she was schooled. She needs a good English teacher. OH Emerald!!!
January 6, 2008 at 5:53 am #646300Emerald should be EVERYONE’s teacher 😆
