Hi, Melody! I was just wondering: what do you consider to be LP? I know the signed pieces with certificates are, like the empea and white curlies and the brown hatching royalty, but what about the curlies that aren’t signed? And the Poads(TM)? Are they still considered LP because they aren’t available in stores? I was thinking the Poads might be, since their cards are signed, but the non-signed curlies really have me wondering 🙂
April 13, 2008 at 12:47 am #689321I think the things that are only available through Windstone directly are considered LP (unless it’s LE or Artist Edition, of course). Things found through a dealer would be RP (regular production).
April 13, 2008 at 12:59 am #689322That’s what I was leaning toward thinking. There is certinly a more “limited” supply of curlies in the world than any of the other dragons 🙂
But… that means I only have 8 current production pieces in a collection of 40 😆 Not very good statistics–I’ll have to do better!
April 13, 2008 at 2:36 am #689323It’s hard to get everything at once, and the LP’s are just that… limited. So it seems more reasonable to get those when they come out first. It’s understandable. Just don’t wait until the RP things you want are retired, and the prices go up. 🙂

Our term “limited production” is very confusing. There is a reason for this; we kept changing what it meant. At first, it meant production pieces, available to retail stores, that either were not always in stock, or were the last of a batch of a retired or discontinued color or piece.
Then, we used it to mean special pieces that were signed by me and often painted by me, but were not available to stores, and not made in large batches like normal production stuff, though the batch was not limited to a certain number of pieces.
Now, it means pieces that are special colors that are not available in stores, small batches, not signed but still rare.
Poads(tm) are different. I am signing all of them, because they are my poads(tm).
Limited production pieces are random. They come and go with our mood. When a limited production piece sells out, we may never do more of them, or we might, depending on the squeaks we get for them. I do listen…even with the pillow over my head.April 13, 2008 at 5:42 am #689325Melody, I get the sense you don’t get much sleep. 😀

April 13, 2008 at 12:30 pm #689327That would have to be a big, fluffy pillow to drown out even a little bit of the squeaking!!!! 😆
April 13, 2008 at 10:42 pm #689328We live in a neighborhood with barking dogs and peacocks 24/7. Sometimes I use several pillows.

Gad, look at all the rainbow dragons in your signature!…no Lap?
April 13, 2008 at 10:55 pm #689330I couldn’t find a good picture of a rainbow lap to add to my sig. If you want to send me a rainbow lap I can take a pic of her and add her to hit /hinthint
April 15, 2008 at 12:32 am #689331Yeah Melody a few of us need our Rainbow Laps, and we’re waiting impatiently for them to finish growing their horns, same as the Old Warriors. 😀
April 15, 2008 at 12:45 am #689332Maybe they’ll grow in after the move?
April 15, 2008 at 1:16 am #689333That’s what I’m hoping.
