Melody will all the Limited editions be Old Warrior size and larger?
Will you ever do any limited editions of anything smaller? Royal Hatchers or Young Dragons 8)
I only ask because the just cost soooooooo much to post to me 🙁June 2, 2007 at 4:38 pm #491265June 2, 2007 at 5:54 pm #583902Griffiness wrote:Melody will all the Limited editions be Old Warrior size and larger?

I only ask because the just cost soooooooo much to post to me 🙁I have a problem with doing limited editions with the regular pieces… Limited editions are often test pieces. They are a way for us to tell what colors people really like, so if it is a really well-liked color, we would want to do them as a production color.I made the mistake of doing the Lap and Fledgling in gold as limited production, now we can’t really do them in gold!(though it really was a different gold paint pattern, with very little dark brown, and no violet interference paint, so I may have a loophole there) That’s why I have been doing the Warriors, because we have these prototype guys sitting around and they are different from the production old warriors. This allows me to state that not more than, say, 24 of these prototype warriors will be painted in a certain color, and leave open the possibility to paint the normal ones in the same color as production.
HEY!!!! You know what I should do?? I should re-sculpt some of the other designs to be a little different from the regular ones, so I can test paint them,in limited editions!!!!
You just gave me an idea!!
Up ’till now, I’ve been using the prototypes that really happened, but why couldn’t I make… Posttypes? (what would be the opposite of “proto”?)I am actually doing something like this for the Flion sculpture… I am re-sculpting, or reworking, the original casting so that we can sell them again!Though these would be production.
