Sorry you’re having such problems, DM, but I agree it’s probably time to part with some Windstones. Your home is definitely more important than collectibles. Good luck.

I have thought about selling my Frankilin Mint dragons but no one seems to be buying them off e-bay for an amount that could help me even if I sold all my big ones which are the only ones that I think would have any money value to them.
I was banking on a wet winter last year and have learned that lesson too that you never know what mother nature will do. The problem is hind sight is 20/20 and when you are in the situation you do not know what the future will bring.
I have already done my research for this winter and we are supposed to be having a heavier that normal amount of rain so if that is true I should have enough to pay off all my unsecured debt and leave myslef to where I can make it month to month with money in the bank. I’m leaving the credit cards closed so I will NEVER be able to get in this situation again.I have also gone to lower mydebt.com (a credit counsiling company) but that is WORSE then filing bankrupt and in CA they have totally changed the Bankrupt laws when everyone started dumping everything when the balloon busted
I have and still am doing everything I can to fix my past issues.
I may have to sell some of my Windtones in the end but I’m trying to avoid that if possible since they where my first true LOVE as far as dragons are concerned.
I have also had several account blow up in my face that I was not expectingWell, I hope everything works out in the end.

Hang in there, Dragon Master. We’re in a bit of a mess with collectors too…though it is due to medical bills, it sucks to get pregnant and then lose your job that provided insurance. Idaho has no programs for an uninsured mother, unlike Calif, which did. And of course we didn’t qualify for any other type of aid, so that meant we ended up with about $7500 in medical debts that we weren’t able to pay.
So recently the collection agency’s, 2 of them, decided the way to handle our inability to pay was to sue, and then hit up our paychecks. Nice, huh? Like legalized stealing will make it that much easier for us to pay our bills, not!
Needless to say, things are going to be unbelievably tight around here for some time too. I’m not even sure how much it will affect us until the writ of execution comes in, so what we will have left to work with is going to be a mystery.
Anyway, it will get better sooner or later, but if you have to sacrafice a Windstone or two to save your house, then do it. I sold my Blue Sun dragon, and believe me, that was a tough decision, but we needed the money more. Frufrus are nice, but in hindsight I should have spent the money on those damn medical bills instead!
Anyway, priorities as Snap mentioned, we’re all guilty of making mistakes in what we spend our money on and when…we live, we learn, and hopefully remember the lesson!
Anyway, get all this mess dealt with as best you can, then set some money aside for a rainy day, recommended savings is minimum of 2 months of expenses…so far my family has only managed to get half a month worth saved, but at least it is something.
Anyway, don’t get too upset, we’re all friends here, and friends tend to tell it like it is, and pull no punches, even if we’d rather not hear it. So no running away!

…. I think you’re taking this a bit too far, otherwise, no comments. Even if you’re joking, it’s gone too far.
I think you’re over analyzing something that really doesn’t require it.
Whichever. It just seemed you took the joke too far, that’s all. I don’t think DM found it at all funny, I sure didn’t (actually the /wrist part kinda offended ME) so….
I’m sorry if it seems like I’m over analyzing it, but I think that /wrist thing went too far. More because I became offended at that point. I’m not going to go into it, so don’t ask.

I agree with you Dragon.
I think a couple of you need to pull your heads out of your asses.
You are demonstrating that it’s OK to stomp your feet like a 4 year old and say you’re going to “leave the forum” after someone has made a genuine and sincere, but HONEST comment…
…but when someone makes fun of that act, IT’S WRONG.

Speaking of offending… GUYS DON’T WANT TO READ ABOUT THE CRAP THAT LEAKS OUT FROM BETWEEN YOUR LEGS or other “miscellaneous” women’s bodily issues BUT YOU POST IT UP ANYWAYS. Do I post in every one of your threads and complain about it? No. People come here looking for nice discussions about Windstone and see that junk, you think they come back?
