I actually saved the goffin (Huggie) from a terrible homelife; and on days I want to SCREAM I recall her condition. Poor thing had bare arms and legs (no wings), literally no tail feathers and plucked herself so badly she will never get over that habit completely; so I am proud to say she has feathers complete but if I am gone for a day, she DOES pluck her chest and back 🙁 At least she can’t fly, or I would be in big trouble! So, the woodwork around the doors have been getting gnawed on for a few years……..and most the times if I am holding her SHE SHUTS UP LOL 🙂
The conure was a Craigslist purchase, and she’s a sweetie to me and my hubby but she literally attacks EVERYONE else – including the poor cats who run fast as they can to get away when she flies at them lol It’s funny but she’s going to hurt a kitty one day :/ They are deathly afraid of her LOL I didn’t know the conures were so possessive of their persons!
Birds are such a handful! Is Huggie’s plucking all anxiety based? I understand how it is… one of my pionus had a very bad start in life and she chews (though thankfully does not actually pluck) her feathers if I leave for long. Still, if you haven’t, it might be worth getting her tested at the vets for allergies and the like.
If sounds like your sun conure has chosen you and your husband as mates! Though with the cats there isn’t a whole lot you can do, you might be able to prevent some of her attacks on other people. Ok, got the fish to semi cooperate, and the cats well, one photo is sorta old, but he is still around in spirit. I have finally stopped seeing him out of the corner of my eyes though. It’s kinda sad.

I don’t have good luck with owning cats, so I currently don’t have a pet. 🙁I have a few pics as well 🙂 . Most of em are taken with my cellphone tho so i apologize for quality.
First up is the stray cat we adopted named Pepper, my sis n i call her kitten, mom calls her “Queen Sheeba” 😆
All her paws are black, except for one of her toes on her back legs, which is white. lover her paws! 😀

Here’s my albino creamsicle corn snake(or otherwise known as candycorn). His name is Snowflake (lol..uhhh…. long story…sorta..)
He’s certainly gentle like one tho 😀 , when my old kitties were still around ( 😥 ) he would play in their fur and it was interesting cuz
the old kitties wouldnt even care!.. but not Pepper.. lol…she would want to play with him… and prolly not in a good way..

This guy isnt a pet… but it sure was a surprise when i came back to my room in AIT and noticed a luna moth by the window 😮
