I got a call from headquarters today about my whole leg thing. They told me I have to follow up with the county clinic since I was seen in the er. I told them I asked my lt and battalion chief if I had to do that and they told me “no” so thats why I didn’t stop there the day I went off sick. They told me my lt and bc were wrong and I need to go to clinic now. Sooooo now I have to get dressed and drag myself down to clinic with the baby. I’m a little irritated now.
July 23, 2008 at 1:33 pm #724701HEy, will it get them to pay your medical bills and such? If so, then it’s worth it! 😉
July 23, 2008 at 1:39 pm #724702They wont get the medical bill because they told me I had to use my own insurance so its already been turned in. I know they will say “well you can’t prove it was MRSA” so they wont count it as an on the job injury. Plus if I go to clinic and they for some stupid reason put me on light duty I will have to go to headquarters and work.
July 23, 2008 at 1:41 pm #724703Grrr….I hate how they’re treating this whole thing. Sorry PD. 🙁
July 23, 2008 at 1:45 pm #724704It’s the county, they have been like this for years. I just hate that I have to squeeze into my uniform to drag everyone to clinic so I can sit for hours then be seen then go to headquarters. Its a pain in the butt and I had crap I needed to get done today. Plus its supposed to rain. Oh well I guess I’ll go to babies r us.
July 23, 2008 at 2:16 pm #724705Man, that really sucks! I’m sorry you gotta go through all that. I hope everything turns out okay in the end though.

Hehe…when I have a crappy day, I think the same thing! 😉
July 23, 2008 at 2:38 pm #724707I find it so weird that they give you the runnaround like this.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmJuly 23, 2008 at 4:21 pm #724708I’m sorry to hear about the crap with your leg. I hope it isn’t MSRA. Not to discount that, but did anyone think about the possibility of it being a boil? I know from second hand experience (hubby had a bad case of them about 6 months after he got home from Iraq the first time) and personal experience (I had one just after he left for Iraq in May 2007). Those are no fun either.
July 23, 2008 at 6:20 pm #724709Sorry you are having to put up with so much crap. What is MSRA by the way?
July 23, 2008 at 8:06 pm #724710we had a joyous time today between the ong waits and her car ..i need a nap
July 23, 2008 at 8:10 pm #724711What a giant, GIANT pain in the butt. I had to go to work to get my blue shirt (the one with my collar pins and badge on it) since any time you go to headquarters you have to be dressed. So after I pick up my shirt from my locker I go to the clinic. There is no one there so I’m all like “sweet this will be quick”. I took Danny and Alyssa since we needed to get some stuff done in the area and it just made more sense to kill two birds with one stone. It took me over 2 hours before I was finally out of there and that was after they made me strip down so they could inspect my WHOLE body. I’m like “uh hello its on my leg?” Then the doc wanted to know how long I had the acne on my face 😕 “Hello since puberty?!” Oh then they didn’t want me to go back to work and wanted me off for another week until the antibiotics are done. Thank god I was able to talk them out of that one. So I get out of there and get in my car only to find it won’t shift out of park. BLAH I had this problem last year so lucky for me I knew how to half ass rig it so I could make the car drivable BUT now I can’t get any of my stuff done since I don’t trust my car. So I run up to headquarters, dodge the chief who is talking to someone in the hallway and b line back down to my car and speed home. My whole day wasted! and I have to go back on tuesday because they want to ooble my body again and make sure I dont’ still have the infection.
