Congrats on the job for Roddy!
March 24, 2010 at 6:46 am #808425I’m glad Roddy’s getting a job! And the idea of a Smart car isn’t half bad for new drivers. (I can’t abide the underpowered little buggers, but once the boys have got the hang of it they can always dump in a 1400 ccm Hayabusa turbo engine… 8) )
March 24, 2010 at 5:21 pm #808426Yay for Roddy. Hope things work out for you too. XD
March 24, 2010 at 7:37 pm #808427Glad to hear the good news on the work front! Also, I think Roddy may be on to something with the smart car idea for the boys. Or you could let them have a golf cart… that’s even slower moving… 😆

March 25, 2010 at 6:56 am #808429Read in another thread that your house sold – that didn’t even take too long! Congrats on that as well.
March 30, 2010 at 1:50 pm #808430Thankies, GB! Yes, we sold the house the same day that the job offer was finalized  It’s usually taken 3 to 4 months to find employment (we’ve done this before…) :nea: :negative: This time around, it was about 5 weeks, and we were floored we got the offer on the house… the buyers are paying all the closing costs and came to the table with an offer that was just a smidge under what it was priced at. There are houses here that have been up for sale for as long as we’ve been here (4 years) – so we were expecting things to move a little slower. SUPRISE! 2 families looked at it, second family made the offer and they just ‘feel right’. Know what I mean? The nice thing is that we don’t have to be out of the house until the 7th of June. Me boyohs can finish up the school year and not leave any ‘loose ends’ for track or musical theatre classes. Our friends keep saying they’re trying to be happy for us, but they don’t want us to go. We don’t want to leave here, but feel like it was a big ole ‘DiNozzo’ from God especially since everything seemed to fall into place all on the same day. Rod starts the new job on April 12 so we’ll only get to see him on weekends for a while – and with the way the economy is at the moment, I really shouldn’t be complaining about leaving Soda Springs; I should be counting my blessings  😀
