Leonard Nimoy

Leonard Nimoy just passed away, and I wanted to say something. With his performance and wit he made me happy and he made me think. He was an amazing man that made a happy difference in my life when I was growing up. I’m going to miss him more than I can say and he’ll always live long and prosper in my memories.

I thought that I might start a thread for other forum members to perhaps talk and share their thoughts about him. I know it’s not like any of us probably knew him personally, but I’m sure he had an impact of some of our lives.

I’ve been dreading this one for a few years. 🙁 Seeing those Star Trek OS episodes, and then the (later) movies later on, were part of my childhood.

I grew up with the origional Star Trek series and I’m still a fan today. When I heard this news I felt a piece of myself die. We’ve lost another great actor who helped inspire many generations. Regards to his family. His memory will live long and prosper with his family, friends, and multitude of fans.

Being a SciFi fan since I was a little girl (Yay for SciFi fan parents! heh) and really being started in the scifi world with Star Trek.. Reading the news broke my heart, as the world has lost a talent that can never be replaced, and a man that I can only imagine meant more than the world to those who knew him personally..

His memory will certainly Live Long and Prosper <3

I’m glad to bring fond, giggly memories back, and to give a new happy thought to those who have not seen it. I wish I could say I knew of the length this man has touched this world, I only today learned of his photograhy career, and I greatly look forward to learning more about that side of him, and the many sides I missed being a tv/movie fan… I wish it were under much better circumstances that I learned more about who he really was… but I feel it is a path, he will be happy to know many find through this tragedy. The great thing about arts, and the kind of life he lived, is he can and will touch lives, even after he has passed… <3 if we could all be so lucky..
