Lava dragon WIP

Well, I decided I was sick of sewing, so today I took a break and started the lava dragon that tc_cat333 commissioned me for. She wanted progress pictures as I go, so I’ve been taking them.

So here’s what I have so far:

http://bladespark.topcities.com/lava02.jpg <–Dragon with base coat of a warm "sunshine" yellow.
http://bladespark.topcities.com/lava03.jpg <–Dragon with the first of around five or maybe six layers of sponged on orange and red. This one's the lightest color, "marigold."

I shall post more as I work.

I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Here’s a couple of kind of boring updates. I’m just adding layers of orange and red, going from light to dark. After these I think I just have one more layer, and then I start in on the black, where it gets more interesting!

I did a little more work today. Got the final layer of red on. I was thinking of going one darker after that, but I looked at what I had and decided it looked good, so I’d better not screw with it! Then I started putting the black on.
