Ok, I had blacksmith come today and I have 2 mares over at another place. It’s raining cats and dogs (sorry had to say it) and minding my own business coming home. Well I get to my driveway and here’s this young weimaraner pup in the middle. I get out to chase it off and the pup jumps in my truck. huh? Picture this, pouring down rain, thunder, lightening, wind, the whole works. So here I am sitting in my truck with a strange dog. I go all over the neighborhood trying to find it’s owner, yeah right. So finally in tears I pull up to my house (I leave the dog in the truck because I don’t know how it is with other animals) and tell hubby what’s happening to find out the dog had been in the yard and he had chased it off. The only thing the pup had was his chewy. What now? 😕 I call my vet and take him up to see if he has a chip. Well I get there and guess what…..nope no chip, so I start bawling. (This is a really sweet dog, we’ve graduated to kisses now)Figured I was going to have to take him to the pound and didn’t want to see anything happen to him. Well my vet, Bless her heart ( I love this woman) tells me she’ll keep him there for the weekend to try to find his owner, because my bulldogs are good girls, but would have torn him up and I had no place to keep him. So…..ok, so far we’ve got till at least Tuesday to find his parents. After that he has to go to the pound.
Well, I get online and lo and behold there’s a weimaraner rescue not far from my house and they told me that they would be more than happy to take him if we can’t find the parents. YAY!!! 😀 That was my day, how was yours? 🙄 😉

Grrr update on sweet pup…..Just found out he’s been wandering around the neighborhood since SUNDAY!!! and no one bothered to feed him, find his house, nothin. 😡 🙄 Course I was going to chase him off as well, but I figured he lived around here somewhere. :shrug: 😳

Aw! I want to have a Weimaraner someday, but I loved the part where you said you graduated to kisses!
Today, I had a ash-grey spider on my passenger side window of the car, and when I got closer to look at it, it actually arched it’s head upward to look at me! I was thoroughly amazed and creeped out at the same time!! Now I am off to mail bills. 🙂

You are a strong woman. If he had no chip and no ‘lost’ add on Craigslist, I would have kept him. 😀 Im glad there was a rescue nearby. He will surely find his owner or a great home.

Well, not according to some. I was going to buy something from a forum member and she did save it for me, But I ended up spending all I had for this pup. 😳 Oh well, I had to make a choice, and the pup won. Thanks all 😕

I’d done the same thing–poor puppy! 🙁 You hate to go back on your word but it isn’t like you decided you weren’t interested anymore! Things happen. :scratch:
