Oh my goodness! This is so sad. I’m so sorry for her. I hope over time she can heal from such a devastating loss.
Hopefully, Jill can get some good money for these items. Personally I would feel weird purchasing something in such a circumstance, but it’s nice to know that these items will find owners here that truly appreciate them for what they are.
She will be in my thoughts and prayers.June 18, 2011 at 8:47 pm #848627There are people looking for Rainbow dragons . Trying to remember who .
June 18, 2011 at 9:03 pm #848630Jennifer, FYI, but just so this person can get what these Windstones are really worth to pay for expenses, that Emerald Old Warrior is most definatly a prototype. You can tell just by looking at it. Also it is signed and I believe prototypes were the only emerald old warriors to ever be signed.
Got a busted Windstone?

June 18, 2011 at 9:17 pm #848638I wonder if she’s got the COAs for any of these pieces that should have had them?

I’m not sure, that might be something she hasn’t found yet. It sounds as if going into her daughter’s bedroom is still very painful. 🙁
I think the Prototype Emerald OW was the only ebay piece right?Jennifer, FYI, but just so this person can get what these Windstones are really worth to pay for expenses, that Emerald Old Warrior is most definatly a prototype. Thank you drag0n, I wasn’t sure if they were offered in the store for a while along with the brown and ruby OWs that were signed. It’s clear from the photo that this is a prototype! Jill wrote me and said she decided to keep it, because it was her daughter’s first piece.
I also corrected my list that she sent me, it’s clear that the mother dragon is not emerald peacock but rainbow.
Everyone: I know we all try to get the best prices that we can on pieces we want but please, given the situation and that this lady is NOT real knowledgeable on Windstones, please don’t take advantage of her and send offers that are far less than what the piece is worth. I have given her some base advice on the approximate worth based on Ravnheart’s database, but I cannot tell her exactly what to ask for beyond that base advice. It breaks my heart to have her write to me even after that and ask if such and such price that she’s being offered is right even when it’s below the minimum I suggested. That’s all I will say (please don’t start an argument about this).

My art: featherdust.comJune 18, 2011 at 11:48 pm #848663I also wanted to mention that the ones that have sold are ‘sale pending’ because it will take a while for her to get the money order( s ). If for some reason the buyer( s ) back out or she does not get the money orders, they might become available again.

My art: featherdust.comJune 20, 2011 at 4:04 am #848761How sad. 🙁 If I wasn’t traveling next month and had the extra funds, I see a couple of things I wouldn’t mind rehoming. I know it must be hard for Jill, but I’m glad to see that she’s looking to rehome them to where they’ll be appreciated, rather than just thrown out. The pics I’ve seen so far show that they look to be in great condition, so they were obviously well cared for and appreciated by her daughter. Many healing thoughts to Jill and her family.
June 20, 2011 at 3:57 pm #848781Yes don’t take advantage of her please people . She’s going thru enough without that . Offer her fair value .
My heart goes out to her .August 15, 2011 at 4:03 pm #853543I agree, I really want the violet flame fledgling but I don’t think I could enjoy it as much knowing why it had to be sold…
August 16, 2011 at 3:49 am #853585E-mailed her with the long list of needed ones. I will certainly give her a fair price for these wonderful pieces, and will make sure that the memory that goes with them will be kept along with them. Having had many losses in the yrs since moving here we have sympathy for anyone suffering such a loss and this one is very sad indeed.
If we work it out with her almost everyone will be sold when we are done which I hope will help her to know that they now have a good home with someone that will care for them and give them they care they deserve.(Jennider, none of the pics other then the PYO came out. Not all that important but wanted to let you know.)
August 16, 2011 at 4:30 am #853588This is a very nice woman. I had contact with her when Jen first posted this thread and my transactions went well. The brown OW, brown lap and blue PYO dragon now reside with me. I got them very quickly after she received payment.

If you notice above, someone else (Pixie-dust) hosted those photos (not me) and sadly I cannot fix it unless she replaces them.

My art: featherdust.comAugust 17, 2011 at 2:38 am #853671The last time I talked with Jill, I asked her if she wanted
me to post more pictures for her. This is what she told me….“Thanks but I’ve sold everything I intend to sell. There are some pieces April wants me to keep.
Thanks
jill ”So she is keeping or giving away the pieces that did not sell.
Sorry, I should have noted that sooner.Tamara
