My art: featherdust.comJuly 4, 2007 at 2:02 am #594303They are done! They are done! I’m so glad.
I’m done painting these, at least for now. For a long time. A long, long time. I hope. I might not paint more, I dunno yet. These are in the gallery, but I know not all of you go there.
As you can see, mom and the kids have a slightly more brownish grey than dad does. This allows them to blend in with their environment (or your display case…) better.
GRIFFIN CHICKS!!!!!!!1
Yes, they have subtle little spotty butts. Though I’m not sure what predator would ever make the mistake of trying to eat one, it lets them blend in better. Perhaps it makes for easier hunting of beetles.
The spots fade as they grow up. Luckily these guys will stay little forever…This one’s not in the gallery.

😆 I couldn’t stop laughing when I read that. I love how the whole family looks together. So pretty. Any chance on getting the labrodite family on stuff at the cafe press store whenever the griffin clothing gets added back?
July 4, 2007 at 2:56 am #594306*sigh*
Why did you have to be so fast? I’m going to have money again in September, I’d hoped you wouldn’t get them all done so quick, and I could have a chance at a chick. But there’s no way earth I’ll have enough money together by the time they all reach auction.
Oh well. I’m sure there will be something else awesome I have to get in September. There always is. These are pretty much my favorite griffins of any kind ever though. I like them even better than I like most of the dragons.
