Friday was spent moving a fully-packed van of stuff up to North Bay, where both my younger sisters are going to school. One goes to Nipissing University, the other goes to Canadore College…same campus, different schools. It’s the youngest’s first year away from home, so we had to move her into a residence apartment. It was first floor though, much nicer than the 4th floor where the other sister used to live! We moved everything into the apartment the older sister rents off campus, slept, got up early, unpacked the youngest one at the college, packed up the stuff that needed to come home, then hit the road again.

The rest of the weekend will be spent packing my stuff for my trip down to Hamilton for my next year at McMaster University. I haven’t had time to pack up yet, we were too busy packing up my younger sisters and also running around the province for other things. I get to move back to the city on Tuesday…god I hate cities! Give me the country in fall any day!

Not much of a weekend 😛

I will be gleefully strapped to my video game controller! I must remember to blink! 😆

Oh I so wish I had time for that! I haven’t played my FF XII ever since I was pregnant, and it has been so long that I have forgotten the story line! 😯
I don’t know what I’ll be doing for this weekend.

FF VII was the first FF game I ever played and I was HOOKED!!! I’m REALLY bummed out that FF XIII will be on the PS3 and not the 360, but I’m happy about getting Infinate Undiscovery! Made by SquareEnix so it should be good…

ummm I think they announced at E3 that it would be on the 360. Which is a major upset for xbox since except for SNES times its been exclusive to PS.

Anyone willing to share Gamer Tags? My 360s back in Cali but when I get it up here I’ll gladly play with you all.

I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~

That would make me really happy! I really don’t want to invest in both the PS3 and the 360 when I already have one of them. I’m sure the PS3 has great graphics and the blue ray is something special (maybe for others but not for me) but I’m perfectly happy with the 360. I’m a diehard RPG fan. The hubby is a FPS guy and he loves those war games. When he gets back I’ll make my own gamer tag and post it on here!

I took the day off so I lost my Holiday pay, but alas…I have a pick up truck which means at least every six months I’m asked to help someone move, which is what I’ll be doing, LOL!

We are actually in Houma (Terrebonne) and because the storm is decreasing in size and strength…we are staying. Most of our neighbors are gone. At least we can mitigate damages to our home and our neighbors.

After Katrina, I said I wouldn’t stay again and we almost left yesterday. We woke up and realized the storm is falling apart, so we are hunkered down with a generator, plenty of food, water, batteries, flashlights and an axe for the attic if we get water.

I don’t feel bad about this storm, we are north of Houma and not right on the coast.

Keschete, I thought Gustav was swelling to a Category 5. How far away from the coast are you?

            Nahh…it’s falling apart…it is a Cat 3 now…and we are about 20 miles inland…..

How scary!! We moved from Key West and we had 4 hurricanes in one year. It was awful. The only one that we didn’t evac for was Katrina and I remember the sound of the wind. I think it was about a cat 3 when it flew through. I REALLY hope things work out for the best. I hate to see the gulf go through that again. it would be heart breaking.
