I have this girafe that I purchase in the hopes of fixing it up but since the flood this spring it got worse. It has several breaks and not stable at all. The two front legs have two breaks each and the back ones only have one each…so far.
I don’t know what to do to make them more stable before I resculpt them.

July 4, 2008 at 2:42 am #720479oooh…ouch…those are some painful breaks…hard ones to fix too. I’ve not got the tools to repair him sadly….maybe Kyrin can….but thin legs can be the worst, as they’ll now have a weak point prone to breakage. π π poor thing. π
July 4, 2008 at 4:51 am #720480I think the Apoxie Sculpt would be able to repair that and restore stability and strength, that stuff is strong.
I would need to have the giraffe here to do it though.
Do you think he could be packed and transported safely? I’m thinking you might have to individually wrap the legs with bubble wrap and some stiff card stock tubing, then pack the whole thing securely double boxed.
Moving him is really the only worry I have. I know the AS will support and repair it, just need to make sure he can get here and back without any further damages.
He’s pretty neat.

Shipping it would be too costly because of the size not to mention risky! π
I will try to fix it myself but if I can’t I’ll just trash it.So how do I go about it? Just fill the cavity with epoxy then resculpt it?
I don’t have Epoxy actualy but I do have some apoxie Sculpt. Will that do? πJuly 4, 2008 at 4:35 pm #720484Blackdesertwind wrote:Thanks Kyrin but I don’t think I could ship it safely.
