These are not even very good photos! I tried to make his fur look like white cream swirling into very dark coffee. The lighting kinda makes that look not quite right in these photos though. The next set of photos will better show the blending and hidden colors.(I hope)
September 17, 2010 at 12:25 am #788436Better photos! Page 4, go look! 🙂
September 17, 2010 at 4:35 am #788437I love the design going through the side scales on the kirin- so cool! 🙂

September 17, 2010 at 12:15 pm #788439Hey, that scheme looks cool with the straw eyes, doesn’t it? 😈
Seriously, he’s wonderful. I do like the reverse bone better for some reason, and I just can’t say why!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

This one reminded us of leaves as they turn but also the green that copper has when oxidation happens. So Copper Oxide Leaf. This started as a green base my sister wanted to do for a spring theme, with copperish pink tones. But she was stumped on what further to do, so I took it and added to it. It still looks like spring to me, right as almond and cherry trees start to bloom. You see, Cali is meesed up, and I do mean that. Spring comes early with bright grass greening in Janurary, and the Almond trees blooming, this year in early Februrary…and all contrasted against the leafless bark of trees.(What is wrong with you seasons! This is not how you are supposed to work!) Flowers start comming up with little bits..but still dominantly green.
So…He is covered in a veriety of greens and soft golds. Bronze that goes into copper but is less striking then the Fall Fern. He is dusted with metalic pouwders that add an extra look of interference, and I kid you not, he shimmers with sparkles in the sunlight. My sister could not stop looking at it like an emu at a nice shiny thing.
He is a special paint, meaning he will not be available for commissions! While not an OOAK, the chances of us making more then another duplicate at most is pretty much a no. He will be on ebay soon if not tomorow.
Out Door photos to show the colors better because you really need to see him in sunlight to apreciate him.(he looks awesome in indoor lighting too, so no worries! It is just harder to get accurate photos indoors.)
Some how we have some extra eyes, so other eye color options are Green and Light Green.
