Here is the auction info on ebay. He looks like a knock off as I have never seen this color and those eyes just don’t look to good 😕 I emailed the person but she thinks since it has the Pena 88 stamp he can not be a fake/knock off

I would if this is a casting from one of those molds. I think this one is a really good copy with the bubble eyes…not a repaint. that is scary.
Based on the bottom, and the eyes, I would say this is almost certainly a counterfeit / fake / knockoff. How old it is is hard to say; it could well be a very old knock off that John is aware of, or perhaps not. Best to email it to him, john@windstoneeditions.com . The seller probably just doesn’t know any better.

My art: featherdust.comYup, I have one like this, they make a rip off my using an actual one for making a re-casting mold and then the eyes are painted on since they take the shape of the glass eyes. Totally a knock off, be it one of the “better” knock offs I’ve seen. Looks like these guys weren’t clever enough to scratch out the logo & year like on others I’ve seen. I bought mine for 5 dollars to practice airbrushing on, and he looks like he’s on steroids! *grunt*

They are still selling them. I find them every now and again on ebay. They also have a mold of a ceramic dragon I saw in college years ago, but that one I would love to have! The one of the young is plain out ugly. And they paint the newest cast to match whatever Windstone has just released. I’ve turned them in 3 or 4 times for it.
